How many Dolphin players from the past decade do you think have a real shot at the Hall of Fame as Dolphins?

And no Dan Marino (duh!) or Ronnie Brown :rolleyes2 responses please.

Right now I can only think of two. Taylor and Thomas have a real shot. Seau is questionable IMO and if he does have a shot it might be as a Charger.* Madison and Surtain? I'm just not sure about either.

Your thoughts?

*Edit: Points about Juniors SD career are well put. I thought is recent slide might hurt him, but I have no problem counting him in.

Jason Taylor Will get in first ballot IMO if he continues to produce a few more years

Zach Thomas will eventually get in, but not for a few years after he is eligable

Surtain and Madison will be in the Dolphins ring of honor but never Hall of Fame

Junior Seau is a first ballot HOF....no doubt about it....but as a Charger.....JT and Zach are borderline.....but I think 3-4 more good seasons would put them there and a SB win would make them locks. Other than that I don't see anyone else making the Hall.......Kooch should already be there.

what about c-pepp? let's see what he can bring to us when he's 100% healthy, he's only 29 and he could play his best football as a dolphin...:dolphins:

Seau questionable? That is questionable. ;)

Seau will be in. He was THE player on SD's only SB appearance and is the best player in a Charger uniform since John Hadl and Lance Alworth.

Taylor and Thomas have an outside shot. They are more questionable than Seau. They have to keep performing. I would say a few more good years and if the Dolphins get to the SB and they are key cogs, that would really help - especially if we won.

Otherwise, they need continued significant productivity. Neither is in right now.

Madison - no way. He's done as a player and he hasn't done enough.

Surtain - he still needs a number of very good years on the Chiefs.

I think you got it backwards, Seau is a lock for the Hall and ZT and JT are the ones who may not get in. Its 50-50 for them IMO.

You don't think the past 4 or 5 mediocre years will hurt his (Junior's) chances? Sports writers these days seem to have very short memories.

I've got three that no one has mentioned.

Chambers-If he can put together 6-7 seasons like last year (or better), he'd get in.

Crowder-I think he could develop into a playmaker on D and be the anchor of a very solid defense. a Ray Lewis type player

Harrington-If he gets a shot in Miami (which is a perfect fit for him) and plays to his potential, he'd have a possibility at getting in. Especially with a SB (which I think the kid could pull off here).

Well I doubt it will hurt Jerry Rice at all....so im going to hold Junior to the same standard

Great career and you make the HOF

Seau will make it....but not as a phin thats why I didnt include him

That is the type of silly talk I don't want to see. Thanks for nothing. :shakeno:

I agree.SB appearances are very important to HOF candidates and thats whats missing in JT and Zachs bios.Seau is a shoe in but as a Charger.I am afraid Koochs window of opportunity is closing.

Besides the names mentioned Richmond Webb also has a remote chance.

Junior was one of the most dominant LB's of his time...I think he was named to 13 Pro Bowls??? That should put him in easily.

Hall of Famers are not restricted to one team. If and when Junior Seau is inducted, he goes into the Hall of Fame as a Charger AND a Dolphin.

Now I will grant you that he would not be inducted for what he accomplished in Miami. He would be inducted for what he accomplished in San Diego.
