Realistic free agents OTHER than Manning!

If we don't sign Manning it will definitely suck, but if that's the case we should sign these three guys.

Eric Winston - RT solved
Reggie Nelson - FS solved
Robert Meachem - WR solved

None of these guys will command big contracts but all of them are very solid players... Trade back in the draft, get a pass rusher a QB (Weeden) and a linebacker or a guard with the first 3 picks.

Depending on how much Winston will want, I think Murtha or Jerry can be a servicable RT. This draft class is weak in DE and much rather take Decastro with our 8th pick if we stay in that spot over any DE in this class.

We do need to sign a 4-3 ILB, look at options at a CB and or safety as well as TE. Outside Mario Williams, there really isn't that much of a superior pass rusher in FA or the draft... Freeney might be an option but that would cost a pick and a big contract.

I understand we don't have a legit #2 reciever but I think our need for a QB, ILB, OG, RT, CB and TE trumps the WR position, as I still have faith that Gates picks it up this year and Hartline shows flashes.
