Tannenbaum calls the shots, so the next HC will need to be a Tannenbaum guy. Of the coaching candidates out there, who has ties to Tannebaum?

I'd exclude Mangini from this list because he is heading up a woeful niners defense and has been a failure as HC twice now. Given he hasn't done enough to rehab his image yet, I can't see Ross going with a guy who would get an overwhelming negative reaction from the fanbase given the current atmosphere (although it could be argued that never stopped him before. See Tannebaum hire)

I've read he has a connect with Jim Mora Jr. (Who while failed like Mangini, has managed to rehab his image in college ranks). Mora could be an interesting choice ala Carrol was years ago.

To be considered "realistic" for the purposes of this thread the candidate should have some connection to Tannenbaum and be sufficiently high profile enough to appease Ross.

Bret Bielema. Guy is the real deal Holyfield and remember the reports that there was interest a few years back.

I was talking about this with my 13 year old son today. Our coaching choices will be limited by having Tannenbaum as Czar.

Are the Saints finished with him? Or will that crazy owner dancing under the umbrella throw him a pile of cash like he did with Drew Brees? (on a side note, is that old fart still alive?)

we will have to trade for Payton correct? I bet Tannenbaum trades for him. the good thing about Philbin is that a retread HC will be a 100000% improvement

Well the good news is that 60 percent of all coaches traded have won a superbowl with the team that traded for him.
The exceptions are PArcells and Edwards. Shula, Belichek and Gruden all won superbowls.
I could be missing some but none come to mind

that is the fun fact of the day!!!

THERE IS ONLY ONE GUY COMING. ITS A DONE DEAL AND HAS BEEN SINCE PHILBIN WAS FIRED!!! ERIC MANSWEENI is the coach. Even the sports hacks have been saying this , that mansweeni was the only choice. Our grand master vp of sports drinks made sure he had his yes man and good pal on board. He was never going to hand this team to a REAL football man like a bill cowher type. Milk Shake Mike is football dilusional, an ego supreme who cant and wont share a spotlight with ANYONE!!

Its almost a certainty that t-scum will be doing all the drafting and free agents. He swallowed up that GM title the day he walked in the front door. Seen Hickey lately? I remember telling someone here earlier this year that sports shake boy would twist the knife the minute he landed and you will know it when hickey suddenly goes dark. And he has. Follow the blood trail, you'll find where mikes knife is. In Dennis Hickey's back!!

You guys all got yourselves duped into thinking we were pats killers and play off bound and now your miserable and your season is ruined. Accept the fact that we never had the defensive personel to be in the playoffs. Move along and learn from it.

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE again believing your choice for coach has any chance in hell, or, that one of the greats will come out of retirement or that prize, up and comer, sure fire ready nfl assistant or college h/c you covet will be our coach. ERIC MANSWEENI is the coach. Nothing anyone can do about it. You have two die hard Jet fans, life long new yorkers running this team. They have a mutual good friend who is also a life long new yorker and jet fan. Do you need a calculator for that math? Every sports writer and announcer and sports show host has said for several months, if philbin goes, Eric Mansweeni is the coach in miami. Even Mike Francesa himself said its mangini, and no one else.

Hey, i hate it. I hate everything thats transpired since sports drink t-bum walked in the dolphins door. But it is what it is. Miles of threads about this coach or that one, getting all wrapped up and bundled into thinking your great coach has a shot and is our ONLY hope is going to get you nothing but the same misery you brought on yourselves over the rediculous playoff dream this year.

Plenty for us all to talk about and bitch and grumble and throw wanabe coach speak around on. But even thinking about anyone than mansweeni coaching this team next year is futile and a waste of your time and energy typing it all up.

If that somehow happens I think I will temporarily boycott the Phins. He has done nothing to earn a shot as a head coach again at this point.

I am sure you would be one of thousands
