OK we have had a day to get over the stuned reality that we are 1-3. Lets look at this for what it is. We are a team with some pretty good talent at certain spots but we also have some wholes that can't be fixed until next offseason (for now we won't argue about which are the biggest). But I don't feel anyone would argue that we are still a few players away from being a great team, even if we started playing up to and even beyond our talent level. Simply put this is not a team that is gonna beat the best teams in this league unless they overlook us or we get them on a really bad day.
So with that as a back drop lets say we get this turned around and start playing ball the way we thought we are gonna be playing in the offseason. We already have 3 losses, one divisional game and two conferece games. Factor in that we still have two games with the pats, one with the bears, colts, viks, and two with the jets. Now out of those games we can only lose three more games and then we must also sweep the rest of our games vs teams that we SHOULD beat if we play up to our potential, which is of course something that we have yet to do, just to end up 10-6. The last time we ended up 10-6 we STILL did not make the playoffs.
So all you that are still saying give it one more week, I ask you. FOR WHAT?? What is your best case senerio?? What exactly will it take for you to realize the playoffs are now an impossiblity. There is ZERO chance of us making it from here. We are now already looking for next year. This year is over before it began.
