Start Tyrone Culver at FS
Demote Gibril Wilson to backup/Special Teams
-Culver, imo, is awesome in pass coverage. May not be the biggest dude but his instincts are much better than Wilson.
-All the love for Clemons will have to wait, he's a project guy and wont play until late in the season.

Put Ginn in the slot
-Ginn might never work as an outside reciever so lets try him as a slot guy.

Move Bess to the outisde
-Put our BEST reciever by far, D. Bess on the outisde. He excelled at that when Camarillo went down last year. He may never have game-breaking skills but he runs the best routes, he is very agile and most importantly catches everything. He is underutilized in the passing game.

Play Wake more
-Teams see that our secondary is not very good and will continue to throw on us. Our Dline is playing superb against the run. Wake could be the solution to our pass D problem as he has one skill which is getting to the QB. I liked what I saw from him in his first NFL game vs. the Chargers. He has an elite first step.

Use Davis as our nickel
-Jones is great as a nickel blitzer but there is a lot to be desired as a man on man defender. Davis has great speed and would be a heck of a sure tackler getting to the QB and in run support. He cant be any worse in pass coverage, plus the potential to be great grows as he gets more playing time.

Use our Running Backs more in passing downs
-This is pretty self-explanatory. Our WRs are not very good. Ronnie had a heck of a catch that Ginn wouldnt be able to make, sad, but true. Ricky has shown to be great as a reciever as well, and I've seen Cobbs motion out as a WR as well. We need to utilize as best position on offense as much as possible. Screen plays to the RBs are a great way to gain huge chunks of yards when the offense is sputtering.

No to Bess moving outside. Bess is strictly a Y receiver and maybe a Z on somedays. He will never be a X receiver.

Have Ginn return KO's & punts. Cobbs has no explosiveness, and it may be the best chance for Ginn to catch a ball all day. If he isn't the WR we thought we drafted, he could possibly be strong at what he excelled at in college (KO's & punts). Just a random OBVIOUS observation.

You forgot Turner. Camirillo is still recovering, rest him and let him heal.

I think Ginn would be even worse in the slot. He doesn't have the quickness required.

Slot recievers arent all about quickness Its about creating matchup problems. Slot recievers are defended by linebackers or safeties.

I like the idea of Ginn in the slot. As much as I think his play sucks worse than I could ever imagine, I’m not sure how well Bess would fair on the outside. It’s worth a shot though.

In terms of the safety position – why do you think Clemmons is a project-type player? I am curious.

Did u not see him last year after Camarillo went down? Whether he is a Z or Y is kind of irrelevant. Putting him on the outisde worked last year so i dont see why it shouldnt continue to work. Like i said, he has the best hands, runs the best routes, etc. he should excel in a more pronounced role on this team. Hes our best pure reciever.

I would assume the safety position is one of the easier position to transition to in the NFL so I guess Clemmons could play. He is very fast but I would think his reason for remaining inactive is maybe because of his instincts in zone or man coverage covering bigger TEs. I still think Culver is better than Gibril Wilson regardless so I would think we need to promote Culver over Wilson.

I agree that Culver can cover the TE's better than any of our safties.

Disagree on Ginn in the slot, this isn't madden. If our number 1 receiver is lining up in the slot they are not going to put a linebacker on him.

I have no idea whats going on with Gibril, it seems every safety we bring in goes from one of the best to subpar starter. Gibril and Bell even said they think they can be the best safety tandem in the league, rofl.

They need to put Jason Allen back there more and let him loose. The guy is physical and he can make plays. Can't believe Miami has 0 interceptions through 3 games. That's not acceptable. Put Clemons back there. I don't know what else they can do but they need to do something, and Sparano knows it.

I don't know about that - I think Corner is much easier to transition to because it's much more physical. Safety is much more cerebral in terms of coverage. Everything is in front of you and playing safety is essentially playing QB of the defense so, in that case, I would disagree. I have heard that Clemmons isn’t grasping the mental game. Corner is much, much more physical of a position and therefore easier to transition to.

I do agree though, that Wilson needs to be out of there.

Why is Wilson getting all the criticism and Bell getting a pass ? From what I've seen they've both been as bad as each other yet Wilson is the one who has come in having to learn a new defense and he's the one not playing his preferred position.
