I know this is out there, but it satisfies team needs. Miami needs to break the bank for Albert and Monroe. They need to sign both. This is a team right now with 1 offensive lineman. Can this team really afford rookies protecting a qb that is on a short leash, with an incumbent coach and gm? I like the Delmas potential, a RB, and Saffold, but any team that plays us will lineup their DE opposite of either Albert or Monroe and then the sack total climbs. I'm also fine with a first round pick. However, Albert's and Monroe's professional body of work is enough to have Hickey and Philbin try to protect their jobs

Interesting thought.....but I don't think it is necessary. You need one or the other and there are other good OL in free agency to fill in most of the rest that can be had for a much lower price.

Managing the CAP is a major piece of this, so yes, it matters. We have to have a well thought out, strategically budgeted CAP that allows for balance on both sides of the ball. Investing $19M -$20M on two Left Tackles a year makes it very hard to do that.

If anything get Collins as a RT but any fool wants to be considered for LT for money sake.

Zach Strief is an obvious choice for RT to me and yes he wants to stay in NO but they have a bit of a money prob. Strief is a RT who will be looked at as a RT for RT money.

Both? Lol I don't think so. They aren't going to take a pay cut to play right tackle. You sign both at around 10m a year and you are overpaying one by 5 mil to play right tackle. Would rather sign Monroe and an elite guard

I stopped reading after the first sentence. You said realistic spending and then you suggest signing both Monroe and Albert. Very realistic

Realistic spending.....sign both Albert and Monroe and break the bank. Come on now.

Left tackles don't want to play Right tackle. And all the names dropped here are going to play LT. Lay off the drugs.

Actually after giving it some thought I think signing Albert, Monroe and Veldheer is the most logical route to go. This way you have a solid swing tackle and someone to take over if one of them busts. Not only is this logical it's very realistic

We can sign Veldheer, Monroe, Albert AND Collins, I think, just to make sure the tackle spot is solid.
