I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm afraid the Monday night game totally crushed the team's spirits, and I don't know if we can recover. Something terrible is born in team morale when you dominate and lose. IMO, you saw those results during the San Diego game. A team that appeared to function in slow motion. A team that looked defeated after the first thing to go wrong. A team that couldn't find that extra little bit of character to overcome. Sadly, when this happens to players, losing seems to become a way of life with each loss building on the last.

Our team is very fragile right now, and players lacking mental toughness or skill are being exposed. Ginn being a premium example. It was like the miss in the endzone caused him to forget how to run routes or catch. Gibril Wilson, burned by Manning and totally exposed again this week. Crowder as well. What's worse, the coaching staff seems to have little faith in it's players. We played to protect the ego of Henne, not to try and win. We settle for field goals. We go conservative. I don't believe this is the goal, but rather a reflection of the lack of faith the coaches have in this roster.

This will be a long season. I believe this turnaround has moved from a 3 year project to a 5 year.

It was a huge blow because they basically dominated the game as far as time of possession and running the ball at will. It was the way they lost more than losing the game itself.
