When the clock strikes 1201 tonight, what do you think will happen? I doubt there will be a flurry of signings. We may get answers about Culpepper or Brees, but I don't expect anything earth shattering.

Yeah, but FFF, something on the Brees/Culpepper front IS earth shattering for the Dolphins. It's been since Dan the man that we haven't had a franchise QB.
If it weren't for the QB situation, I don't think there would be half the buzz on this board that there is.

In Saban I trust...
Brees will end up in NO(which allows them to trade down), Culpepper comes here and TO creates a late night infomercial on the proper techniques on driveway sit-ups.
less free agents than we normally get, but better quality.

I've been hearing Oakland all day, but since nothing has happened I bet teams are calling Minny's bluff and will wait for him to be cut. Honestly I don't think they can Culpepper and Minny can work things out and with a new coaching staff coming in the last thing that they need is this distraction. I mean he is the quarterback!
Brad Johnson won when Daunte didn't and it might be something they can build on help out in draft or FA and save some money. They have to cut him to start over. Miami could be sitting very good to up grade at QB. There's a blurb on http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm that mentions the kind of money that Brees is looking for and it is a TON! Maybe Culpepper could come cheaper if cut because I don't think his contract is valid if he gets cut only if traded.
I really trust Saban because if the deal is going to cost a lot more than what he thinks it should he will draft one.

This will be like every other night I've waited expectantly... nothing will happen.

Ok. Every major playmaker will be signed in 21 min. The fins will have the best roster in the league the season will be cancled and the Lombardi trophy flown to Davie, because the other teams are just too scared to play us.

The only chance of getting news is if any reporters got inside info and had to hold off posting it until the 12:01 deadline.Also maybe some West coast activity seeing its 9:00 pm there.
