I'm as psyched and excited as anyone as always. But when you step back and look we need a starting Guard starting CB starting LB starting WR and another DT. Can these needs be filled through the draft and June 1st cuts before the season? And this is also with the hope Albert comes back 100%. We are close but can we properly fill our needs????

The only "needs" are starting CB, G and ILB....DT rotation with Su, Mitchell, Francis, and Johnson should be fine...the WR situation will be good...the QB doesn't need a superstar to win games, just a little more time in the pocket (the Guard).

You're not off base. We do still have needs, but it's not as bad as you've outlined.
1. Guard - the FO has already identified a need at guard. They are NOT going into next season relying exclusively on Turner and Thomas. I believe guard is one of those positions the FO won't spend money or high picks to fill. Expect us to draft 1 or even 2 this year and add depth after the June 1 cuts.

2. CB - priority position that deserves attention, but don't forget that we have Jamar Taylor and Will Davis coming into their 3rd years. I also expect either our round 1 or 2 pick to be spent on a corner.

3. LB - We've seen the disagreement between the FO and the coaching staff on the LB position. Philbin and Coyle think Misi should remain in the middle. FO believes he should shift back to the strong side with Shepard competing with a probable draft pick in the middle. I think the FO is right. This team NEEDS a dynamic leader and performer in the middle. BTW, we haven't even talked about Jordan, McCain, and Rripp.

4. WR - It's not as bad as you think. You have to view Lazor's offense from a different point of view where the team might not need a dynamic, physically dominant receiver. I expect receiver to be addressed in the draft, but I'm actually comfortable with Landry, Stills, Matthews, and Hazel to start. We definitely need a couple more to round out the depth.

5. DT- we might be good at DT. Suh and Mitchell start. AJ Francis has shown promise. Anthony Johnson has shown promise. You also have to remember that Shelby kicks inside in certain packages. I expect a later round pick for development.

My main concerns involve the two starters that are coming back from injury.

If Albert isn't starting we have serious issues, likewise for Delmas.

Corner and LB are the other two. They need a better starting corner than Taylor or Davis.

They need to upgrade the middle linebacker for the addition of Suh to really make sense.

G, CB, and LB are my only concerns (and in that order) and we have plenty of time to address those issues.

Some of the positions being talked about here worry me less than FS. It's time we got a consistent ball-hawking presence back there. Unfortunately I don't think there is a great pick at the top of the draft. If Holliman falls to the 4th round, I would like to see them take a shot at him. Fourteen interceptions in a season is no small feat.

Mathis could be had either during the Draft for a late round pick or if we wait it out he'll be cut. He would solve our immediate need for a starter and is very highly rated even though he's at the end of his career. If MLB or CB aren't addressed in the Draft, I'm sure there will be quality players cut for cap purposes. No need to panic when the draft is still almost a moth away

On paper, it looks like it will take two years to fill those needs. However, that doesn't mean the team can't be successful with a few weak spots. It's just a matter of where you can get by without ideal talent.

Let's say, as an example, that Miami takes Todd Gurley at #14. I think most would agree he can be an elite talent that could really lift the ground game in Miami. At the same time, it doesn't fill a huge need. But, if that scenario took place maybe the Dolphins could look to mostly build the offense in this draft and "get by" with mediocre linebackers for another season.

Only way I'm taking a WR st #14 is if Cooper or White fall.

Options if we stay at 14 could be fun. CB, LB, & G (I'd hate a guard pick that early, but if it's BPA then so be it.)

For me, in order, the needs are; Middle Linebacker, Right Guard, Right Cornerback and Free Safety. The rest are just depth with starters already in place.. Of course you could make a case for any position on this team needing a better replacement, but when talking of actual needs this is it.

We have 0 starting MLB on the squad, 0. RG we have Dallas Thomas.... Enough said.. Right corner all we have is Davis and Taylor, but they haven't done anything as of yet. And at free safety we have a beat up oft-injured Delmas that will probably give us 6 games total this year. Those are needs.

WR, RB, TE, DE, DT, OLB, & QB. Those are wants.

Taking a receiver is a good idea though because you can't pass up this receiver rich draft like we did last time, so you take value over needs in that instance. We just can't forget that we have holes at positions that will be exploited by teams no matter what "star" we think we drafted at RB or WR. The teams will get to the QB if we don't get a real RG. And the D will give up huge plays down the middle if we don't address our ILB or CB position.

I agree. We cannot fall into that trap of drafting for need. Take the player who will make game changing plays. If the staff feels Gurley is one of those every 10 year RB's, by all means take him.
We can fill in the blanks with Dallas, Seattle, GB, or Detroit's dumpster players.

I think the priority right now is guard ......

Second to CB/MLB

Then WR.

I think DT is just fine.

How much longer do you guys see Albert, Grimes, Misi, Wake, Mitchell, Jordan staying on this team?

Are we not also coming to a point where we need to pay Jelani Jenkins, Mike Pouncey, Ryan Tannehill, Olivier Vernon, Kenny Stills, Possibly Reshad Jones again?

Stills is under contract for the next 2 years at about 700000 annually... But we are gonna have to pay Pounced, Thill, Vernon, after this season for sure. Not sure about Jones.... But I don't see Grimes, Wake staying past this season at their cap number as well... FO has to get young talent and the coaches have to develop it... As things look now the latter part will be the struggle

We need a big target at wr... Either through the draft or FA, trade route (Neither of which are promising).... I like the potential of our young receiving Corp, but I dunno how some of u guys can be confident with it as some of the posts indicate.... Landry is money, and should improve... But to what degree? He wants to be an outside guy, Flanker/split end, but does he have the chops to do it... I think he does, but we really dunno... Stills looks awesome from a potential standpoint.... But at least initially he is not going to take the top off a defence and make them roll coverage the way Wallace did... Hopefully a couple big plays change that... Matthews, again has potential, Hazel who knows?? We need size and speed... I see Wr and guard as the two biggest needs in this draft hands down... Or the remainder of the offseason... These needs have to be addressed or we are depending on unknowns to step up... Too many unknowns to step up... This is a passing league, we need this to compete... I'm hoping all the young guys step up, but I think it's a lot to think that Matthews and Hazel are going to come on as playmakers as well as Landry's and Stills continued development.... We need an injection of first round talent at that position... Again I hope I'm wrong and all the guys step up, but realistically I don't think that's gonna happen
