It's hard to get some people to realize we don't have the players that it takes to win right now.People kill me when they get on these boards an trash our team, you know these "so called fans".Their just expecting too much from a team that is trying rebuild through the draft. After the season I can see it know "coach Saban might not have been the right choice"thats what people will be posting.Saban is a hell of a coach, but people aren't patient enough to wait.Give the man time and he will put the pieces together,he's been a winner everywhere he's coached.Set back and watch it will take some time, but I have faith in him and my team and real fans should to! Hell it could always be worse, look at the detroit lions all them high draft pics an look at the results they keep getting! If your a true fan be patient and it will turn around. ;)

Well some people are already comparing him to wanny....sigh.

everything you said is right, but from what ive seen, this team has the talent to do something this year, mistakes are killing us, and it sucks to watch it. so when people bash our team, i think alot of it has to do with frustration.

Frustration is why people get mad and say things like that. But Im pretty sure we can all agree, we have so many weapons on this offense and cant get anything done. Ronnie and Ricky, then our wide receievers, its just frustrating bc you expect wins, I was even expecting wins last season without Ricky. I mean the year before last, we were 10-6....ok.....we got ricky back and a good ronnie brown, how can we not atleast be up there? Maybe its too soon to tell. Miracles can happen

maybe so but they should realize we don't have that stud QB or WR to take this offense were it needs to be,watch and see Saban will get these type of players through the draft or free agency.Hell look what he's doing with our salary cap maybe 25 million under next year, when is the last time we had that kind of loot to spend?

At least we only had 4 flags last week. I agree we have offensive talent at most of the skill positions but when you have a qb who consistantly over/under throws wr and an o line that strugles when run blocking its hard to get the offensive production that you should.

I think comparing him to Wanny is a lot more realistic than when people were comparing him to BB before the season started. Although I really believe that he'll be successful here, he's still a rookie NFL HC and we have no business comparing him to any one because he hasn't accomplished anything in the NFL. He could win 3 SB as our HC or he could be the next Steve Spurrier. I think we should all wait until he actually accomplishes something before we begin any comparisions.

Not to mention our secondary is not that great, hell sam madison couldn't cover a baby with a blanket and Saban knows that. Thats why his defense is designed to get pressure on the QB because he knows the corners we got know can't get the job done. If you seen the k.c. game you know what i'm talking about,we couldn't get pressure and look what happened. K.C. doesn't have any stud recievers and our corners couldn't stop them, they dominated in time of posession and wore our d-line down.I'm not trying to affend anybody just giving my personal opinion and that is we're not contenders as of now,but in time we will be.

I believe Saban is and will be a good head coach, but that doesn't mean I don't have a right to criticize him for mistakes he is making that are hurting my favorite football team. People think that because we are so lucky to land a coach like Saban we shouldn't voice our opinions and second guess our head coach. I'm not upset over a ton of things, but I do feel Saban mishandled our QB situation from day one and we are feeling the effects of that now.

I said at the beginning of this season that I just want to see improvement. That is why this season is starting to become such a dissappointment. We turned over half the defense, yet we are now struggling with penalties, stopping the run, tackling, and pass coverage. These are exact repeats of last year. On offense, we have more experience along the OL, TWO great running backs, a (supposedly) better QB, decent receivers, a much heralded OL coach, and a top flight OC, yet still we are producing very similar to when Wanny was here.

Now IN NO WAY am I implying that Saban isn't doing a good job, and Wanny and Saban should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. I am, however, wondering what is really going on here? Is it lack of depth? Is it players who don't have the capacity to get with the program or refuse to? Is it just general lack of talent? Whatever the answer, I just wish I could see consistant improvement to give me hope for next season.

I think we're all getting frustrated with the apparent lack of progress so far in 2005. Its tough to keep perspective on this when the reality is that its going to take several seasons to turn the Phins roster over and stock it with good, young talent.

And why is it going to take so long? This is when the horrific drafting and trading moves of the RS/DW era are showing up. The cupboards are virtually bare of any talent acquired by those 2 boobs. Saban is starting out with next to nothing here so its just going to take awhile to build the team he wants. Am I frustrated with the thought of the Dolphins not playing a truly meaningful game until maybe the '07 season? Of course but that just may be the reality we're looking at here.
