I was laying in bed last night and it came to me. I though of a mock roster in my head knowing that with linehan we will have a lot of 3 wr sets I Believe. First of all think about this big 5
Brown
Chambers
Booker
Boston
McMike... How do you defend that, and our line mcdougle james hadnot Carey and D mac, with a great coach will be much improved.

Only one question mark and that is at Qb. So in reality this is the best offense in quite sometime as long as health does not become an issue. I am excited.

Defense right to left Taylor Traylor Carter Holliday(or Roth). Once again if they stay healthy that is awsome. Then you got thomas seau and spragan with crowder bua pope and moore as backups to me that is one hell of a crop. The only question is fs and cb. howard and madison will start at corner tebucky at ss I think if we do not get a fs it could be travis daniels. Defense has been great and always will, our biggest feat will be offensive production and the reality is our offense is going to be down right sick....

If this is a rebuilding year I fear the wrath of the years to come, I smell Dynasty....

cut whitney please...I don't think he makes the final roster. I think our QB situation is better than you think.

For how to defend that, please see NE vs. Indy playoff tapes.

I hope you are right maybe with an actual offense and someone to actually teach it we are vastly improved already....

Indianapolis is a speed precision and timing based offense probably the best ever in precision and timing. How much can you rely on speed when it was made for turf and you are in foxborough in the dead of winter, and how can you rely on timing without the speed you are used to and in a hostile environment against one of the best defensive teams in the league so without speed and timing precision goes out the window therefore indy does not score...... that is how you stop indy...

Insert Dolphins and you'll have the same conclusion.

A few minor issues with your thoughts...

Brown will be our starting RB at least for the first 4 games, therefore, he can't be considered a WR..Now, that isn't to say that he won't be catching passes or split out on certain plays...Even after RW returns from his susp. (assuming he is ready to go then physically), Brown is not going to be split out as the slot reciever or on the outside..he's a RB...yes, he has good hands and excells in the open field, but I don't see them "converting" him. I see McMike being used a lot. I think he'll have a real good year under Linehan.

On the OL...Whitley ??? He couldn't crack the lineup with last years pitiful play along the OL...I still see a hole at C. I hope/think that Big Mac will have a much better year being a full year removed from his ankle surgery..He seemed to come on decently at the very end of the year last year. St. Clair had arguably the best season of all our OL last year..(not anything to really get excited about) but I see him in the lineup somewhere.

As far as QB goes...It just remains to be seen if Feeley can handle the load with a decent OL...You have to give him a bye on last season with the pitiful play of the OL. We just have to wait and see.

On D...Bua has been moved to safety (SS), I guess to back up Tbuckey...Tbuckey has issues as a safety, the same as Knight had, so they are a wash.. the FS I think was going to be Daniels, but with Poole getting hurt, he may be a nickel or dime CB. Bell, if he can stay healthy, may also get a good look at the FS spot. We are very thin in DBs as you said...We can probably scrape together the starters, but the backups leave a lot to be desired...

The D has been good, not great. They have let the team down more often in the last two years than the previous 6 years. I felt our D actually played worse, especially in the stretch at the end last season than the O did. We have to keep in mind that both the O and D will be learning new schemes, so there will be some adjustment time and possibly some big plays let by on D and some negative plays on O....

We may not be rebuilding, but I don't think we are retooling either...I think there'll be some big plays made and some other teams may get a little surprised by us, but I don't think that the playoffs are in the cards for us...particularly if we have a rash of injuries like last year...

I think we can make playoffs with the lineups we have now. KEY WORDS NOW!I think we will be in serious trouble if there is another defensive back injury and if our O-line isn't clicking on the right page early. These our just my opinions but im sure a lot of you agree with me on this one.

Where in the world did you get brown at wr if you read it this time you will see where I said 3 wr set that is 3 wr right so boston chambers booker = 3 wr believe me brown will be starter through the season williams will end up a dissapointment again wish I could believe otherwise but other than that I agree with what you said

Dynasty?????

Say no to drugs!! We are coming of a 4 win season. We have more question marks than we know what to do with.

While I admire your optimism, please have it based in some shred of reality.

Ok you are right I have no evidence that this will happen just basing it on the past performance of the free agents aquired(In their glory years) and the projected performance of our rookies and coaching staff but I do see hope and I believe with youth in our defenive depth chart and the new offensive foundation, there is nowhere to go but up and I believe up fast

Good post. I agree and I hope our Offensive is going to be EXPLOSIVE. I also am not that confident and a bit skeptical about our QB situation... Oh and just take out Taylor Whitley, and this post would be perfect.
