look, im as big of a fan as anyone of the fins. i die with this team. never ever have i wanted this team to lose. not even in the 07 year to guarantee us a better pick which we obviously got.
but as a fan, as i assume u r, u should look at the bigger picture.
sometimes in life, their are things in the moment where we dont want to do things, etc, but in the long term it always turns out for the better.
well right now, since dan marino retired, this franchise has gone through 15 starting qbs. 15!!! Thats insane. in this nfl, you need a star qb, or you pretty much have no chance, that is unless you are fielding a 85 bears type defense.
is andrew luck guaranteed? nothing in life is guaranteed except for death and taxes. However, we have not taken a qb in the first round since marino retired, and its time for a change.
does it hurt to lose and go through this again just like we did in 07? hell ya it hurts. But for once im going to try and think long term .
obviously we all want the fins to go 12-4 and win the superbowl, but lets be honest. the way this team is playing, at best, and i say at best, we will go on a run, get to 7-9 and **** up our chances to get luck, yet 7-9 wont do **** for us except pad our wins in the win column.
so, yes, losing is painful, and im not actually going to sit infront of my tv and root vs miami, but when they lose, rather than go into depression which i used to do all the other years, i will take solace in the fact that we are one step closer to luck, and a bright future with 10-15 years of stability, 10 plus win seasons, playoffs, superbowls, etc, rather than our annual 6-10 7-9 crap which gets us nothing.

if it was week 1 or 2 and i was saying this, ok, and i tried to have hope even after our 2 losses at home, but once we loss to that atrocious clevleand team, and san diego, 0-4, we r not going anywhere sadly, just like every other year.
