really really really dumb move trade chambers

Not just Chambers, but we also gave away Welker, Ogunleye to the Bears, how about Patrick Surtain, Sammy Knight, and several other d-backs who are better than the dog crap we have guarding receivers now???

What the hell did Chambers do for Miami when Miami was 0-6 last season ?

Hmmm.. Do you guys ever think with your brains ?

Not to mention his contract was ridiculous for a team on the rebuild..

Close game with Cards? Chambers couldn't cover Bolden or Fiz either.

Actually that's a really really dumb post.. Chambers gave us Chad Henne who will be our QB for the next decade.

Short minded fans are hilarious

Youre wrong here Greyboy.

Fact is.....we dont know what wouldve happened had we not had that extra 2nd pick. Anything from taking Henne at 32, to us making different trades wouldve been possible. I think we were going to get Henne regardless. He was clearly on our radar. He was BP pick. Merling was sitting there by surprise.

Lots of things couldve happened had we not had the pick for Chambers. If anything, we wouldnt have Merling.

And the OP is right....Chambers was a huge loss for us. We got fleeced in that deal.

Just another one of Cam and Mueller's countless blunders. PERIOD.

chambers is a playmaker . tds you know , remember. make your brain work and remember

What games were you watching ? You are making him out to be Randy Moss.. Ridiculous.. 60% of throws passed to Chambers were incomplete in 2006 which was BY far the worst percentage of any receiver's/te's we had.

Chambers sucks.. And then to top it off he had a ridiculous contract.. Use your head

we couldve still got henne
Then you give up Phillip Merling if you take Henne with the first of our 2nd round picks. If you try and wait until the third round, you give up Kendall Langford(who has 2 sacks so far).

I like Chambers and yes he would REALLY help right now, but how does he fit in with this team 3 or 4 years down the road? He is 30 years old and is a very good, but not great receiver. We got a 2nd round pick for him, which we turned into Chad Henne(who appears to be a pretty good pick).

YEP! And if it werent for Jay Fiedler at QB missing Chambers who was wide open for 6 on countless play action opportunities set up by Ricky beasting.....he was probably rookie of the year and a perinial probowler. Chambers is one of the better receivers in this league....PERIOD. Getting a 2nd rounder for him, irrespective of our situation is getting fleeced.
