So for the majority of fans -- the best you can hope for is a team that plays good, competitive football and wins a few "meaningful" games. Beyond that the org handles the roster with competence so you have a "promising future" on the horizon. That helps sustain interest and legit hope / optimism. Of course, avoid the crash and burns.

But we crash and burn in a predictable cycle! Perhaps that's evidence of a faulty design?
