First off, I know the only stat that really matters is 1-6. With that said, did you know:

1. Against NE we only punted 3 times, had 19 First downs, and outgained NE on offense?

2. Against NY we had 3 punts, 24 first downs, and outgained the JETS on offense?

3. Against GB we only punted 4 times and had 26 first downs, again outgaining our opponent on offense.

Now, a lot of those yards and first downs came later in the game when the score was out of hand, BUT - in the last three games how many 3 and outs have there been?

To my eyes, the offense (while still not putting up enough points), is moving the ball.

If we could just eliminate those *%$^! Int's, drops, and get Ronnie more involved - this offense might not be as bad as you all think it is.

ya hard to find optimism most are start cleo draft and saban sux
i see the same thing maybe we can change the scoreboaqrds to read 4th quarter miami dwn by seven that seems to be the only time the team offense clicks

Most of those yards were against other teams defenses in garbage time.

Very little reason for optimism with this team. Every press conference is the same story about execution. Good teams do, and bad teams don't. Right now this team is among the league's worst. I applaud your optimism though.

We lead the league in "Bone head plays",if we could eliminate that we might win another game.

Reasons for optimism??

I have only one......When everybody dumps on this team for the rest of the year and the entire off-season....it will cause a giant build-up of anger within this team and it should give them an "us against the world" mentality, while at the same time allow them to operate away from the glare of expectations.

Next year, Miami will have more draft picks and more money to spend in FA, than they have had in a long time.....They will have a healthy Daunte Culpepper.....they will have Ricky Williams back.....and they will be a true underdog team with a chip on their shoulder.....

Sounds like a tried and true recipe for success if i ever saw one....so all i have to say now is, bring on the insults, the questions, and the negativity.... because it will all be fuel for the fires next year....

There is some truth to that. I think this team read and believed too much of their press clippings coming into this season.

I agree.
One of the reasons I'm not angry this year is because we've been in pretty much every game. We've always seemed to move the ball well enough to score, but there's always a false start, turnover or sack that just dooms everything. I believe we'll see less of those as the season moves on, and some of the close losses will turn into a few wins.

heres my reasons-- theres nowere to go but up.. and once we start winning again this drout will make it all the more sweeter!

I like your take on this, but I'm not sure this team has the mental toughness to use such criticism as a motivator. Over the last several seasons, the negativity around them seems to breed an expectation for further failure. The team always looks and sounds like Droopy Dog at the end of the year. That said, there will be so little of the current team left next season, it may not matter at all.....

While I agree with general point you are making.....and correct me if i'm wrong......but we will essentially have the same amount of picks as this last year and the year before.....we are already down a 2nd round (Daunte) and 5th (assuming Joey keeps playing). Also, I was under the impression that the cap numbers was still going to be tight with salarie like ZT, JT,CC, and Daunte's. I may be wrong. It seems to me that we still have a ways to go turning the roster over, via the draft and FA.

our Cap guru, Clumpy, says we are going to have much more money to spend next year and he's been pretty accurate every year so far....

We may have the same amount of picks, I just threw that in there without checking first....my bad but, you can look at it this way, we'll still have more draft picks on the team than we have this year....
