The reason we can't run the ball is due all the Penalties. Everytime we get 4 or 5 yards we either get called for holding or the next play we have a false start putting the running game on the back burner.

The Two main reasons are offense stinks is Penalties and Frerotte can't hit the broad side of a barn.

I would also add that Linehan is way overated. I know we are not always in the best of situations but why not run more. We have R&R. And why was Ronnie in the slot?

We should be in I form and have FB fake HB toss or vice versa. We should have them both back there in prosets and we should have them in a Green bay alignment with 3 rb's Evans, Ricky and Ronnie. Just try to figure out where we are going to go and if you do, just try and stop them.

I'm so upset and dissappointed in Linehan. And give Rosenfels a shot

We can't run the ball more because we are in 1st and 15 or 2nd 20 every friggen series due to penalties.

this may be true, but it doesnt mean that the next play should be the typical 40 yard incompletion. thats not getting anywhere either

We can't run the ball quite frankly because our O-line sucks! That's all that needs to be said.

We had good runs called back also... Lets be honest.. TBs D was very very good... and we didnt have an answer.... but there is always next Sunday for redemption.

why cant we run???? we have been running the ball
That makes the most sense to me. And we also can't escape the fact has a VERY GOOD Defense if not the best in the league. I expect us to take advantage of Ryan Sims still being out for Kansas City this week and I think we should run right up the middle on Lionel Dalton and John Browning, we should pound it to Ricky and Ronnie as much as possible and right it right down their throats up the middle. I expect us to have good rushing games against Kansas City and New Orleans as long as we don't fall too far behind too early, especially with Kansas City.

Ummm... does linehan hit them with a paintball gun to make them false start? Does he cover the receivers gloves with vaseline? Does he put acid in Gus's water? Does he dress in a ninja suit and use his stealth to make our team fumble? Does he shine light into eyes so that they miss the ball? Does he hit people with a dart gun so that they hold?

Probably not... But he does have a good gameplan... And he does do good half time adjustments... and he does call good plays that are not being executed... and he does open up the game for everyone by threatening with the long ball...Linehan is an excellent O cordinator. Our offensive players have not changed much from last year, and yet they are playing at a level that was unheard of during a 4-12 season. Players win the battle, cordinators win the war. The bottom line is the players are not executing. And linehan can not be blamed. Everyone is not up to par, but this is a new system. For some players this is their 3rd system in three years. Please provide an example of one offensive system that was supremely effective in it's first year... Just ask the Vikings...They already want him back.

Why do you want to flip flop quarterbacks already? If Gus stinks up the joint for a couple more weeks, than you think about it. But not now. We're not 0-5, we're 2-3. And Gus isn't the only problem with this team.

That would be Wanny ball...tried it, remember...didn't work...must take what the defense gives, and until GF can consistently hit the intermediate to long passes, defenses won't let us run...you can't just will your way to run the ball, must have balance.

I'm all for giving Sage a shot. Gus has proven what he shown in his previous years, that if we are lucky we're a .500 team. I think we should be in more 3wrs, te and rb sets instead of the I. We should spread out our formations and open up the inside.

Plain and simple, we can't run because of our O-Line. Either they're not opening up any holes, they get called for pre-snap penalties, or when we do get a good run they end up holding someone. That's what I've seen as the reasons why we couldn't get a running game going last game. They're inconsistent. But we did have a couple good games this season. The OL just needs to play better on a consistent basis.
