The overhaul this offseason has been the greatest seen in Dolphins history.

1. New attitude starting with proffesionalism and work ethic by the Parcells regime. They will not put up with losing or second guessing from its players. Cam's regime was as bad as it gets.
2. It all starts and ends with the lines. I am very optimistic with the offensive line they are putting together. Look for big numbers by both RB's this season barring any injuries. The defensive line got alot younger and deeper much like it was before last season. If JT stays watch for him to have a monster year to prove that he is still one of the elite Defensive players in the NFL.
3. Game planning will be our advantage this year due to having the tuna and Sporano. Two heads better than one. Last year Cam, Capers and Mularkey were fish out of water! No pun
4. No expectations! Just the way I like it, each player has to go out and prove they are worthy of being a Dolphin.
5. Im a homer and will always back up my team even if we suck (1-15). I predicted last year 10-6 and my friends let me have it.

Ill be there every home game cheering from the North endzone!!!!!!
Go phins! Lets shock everyone!

I agree with you 100% but it all starts in training camp and lets hope we have no injuries...

In order for the Dolphins to make the playoff this year they need:

-Consistant QB play by whoever is going to start
-A healthy Ronnie Brown
-Consistant Offensive line play from all 5 starters
-A TE that can be a threat in the passing game
-WR who will catch the ball, and make big plays
-The D has to stop the run
-Secondary has to prove it can stop the pass
-Special Teams needs to put points on board and not give up field poisition
-And most importnantly, be injury free

If all that goes are way, I'll guarentee you a playoff spot.

Well your post certainly shocked me. Tell me that you don't actually think that we will make the playoffs this year. Tell me this was just a joke. I certainly hope we do, but good lord man, get a grip. This is a brand new team and organization. It takes time to learn a new system. It takes time to build chemistry with your new teammates. There are still alot of questions to be answered. Will Ronnie come back healthy? Who will step up for us at QB? Do we actually have a legitimate #1 receiver? How will the new additions to the D pan out. What about our Saftey posiion? Look, I've been a diehard Dolphins fan since the first time I saw them back in the early '70s, but I am just getting sick and tired of reading posts saying that "Wow, were going to the playoffs this year. We have such talent. This is the best offseason we have had in years." How many people said the same thing when Saban took over or when Cam did? This team was 1-15 last year. Granted we had alot of injuries and, again, a "new system" for our players to learn, but it's the same thing here. It takes time to learn and gel as a team. Please stop with the homer posts.

We should definitely be improved. Playoffs? Come on. Let's hope we find our QB next year so we're ready for playoffs the next 8-10 seasons. I'd say 8-8 or 9-7 at best would be great next year. I think our defense and special teams will be greatly improved, but I'm worried about consistant QB play and the fact that we don't have great receivers.

I don't think there's any doubt Miami will be better next season. While I would love them to reach the playoffs, I think any realistic possibility of that is still a couple of years down the line. Still, keep positive about it and enjoy the improvement (Which really has to happen, doesn't it?). None of us knows what the forthcoming season holds and sometimes completely unforeseen teams can perform a lot better than expected (Although 'a lot better than expected', in my estimation, would be 7-9).

I expect 5 wins absolutely max next season. If you want to talk playoffs, come back in a couple seasons.

Reason we wont: The AFC competition. Even if all fell into place for the Dolphins and they miraculously won say nine games, it probably wouldn't be enough. Not with the quality of the teams in the AFC South, the Steelers/Browns in the North and maybe the Broncos in the West. I also expect the Bills to be a wild card contender this year, and the Jets should be at least 500.

Ill be happy with anywhere from 4-8 wins. Were rebuilding, and I know its going to take a 2-3 years. But hell, this is the nfl and anything can happen.

How many teams have gone from 1-15 to .500? Probably none. If we win more than 5 games, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

The 1997 NY Jets with Parcells in his first year as head coach for them. Thats the only team I can think of. They finished 9-7.

I believe that is it, i know John Fox turned George Seifert's 1-15 Panthers into like a seven win team. Not 500.

The post-Rod Rust Patriots went from 1-15 to 6-10 too. Again not 500.

It's hard for me to fathom this team will be 500. But i think five or six wins is likely.

I think our running game is going to really keep us in games. I mean, when you think about the run blocking we have on the offensive line and the bruisers we have in the backfield it's hard not to think they're gunna have success running the ball.

Ronnie was ripping it up last season behind an inferior line.
