I liked Fielder but he is better gone...

Reason #1: Gus threw line of scrimmage pass to chambers this sunday that was caught but he was immediatly tackled for a loss. when fiedler threw that pattern it was for 6 the other way

Reason #2: the deep pass to Boston..... would still be in the air if Fiedler had thrown it.

..............

Gus still sucks btw. So you have to compare Gus to a player long gone. Wow, Guskateers will go far to prove that Gus is so good.

This is THE main reason Frerotte is better than Fiedler. Normally at this time of year the Dolphins already would have a couple of pick-6's. I loved Marino but he threw his fair share as well. The difference was that Dan the Man could more than make up for the difference. Fiedler couldn't and Frerotte certainly can't. The main problem with Frerotte, as has been stated many times, is his accuracy. In the games I have watched, he has made very few poor decisions. The problem is that he often can't hit the broad side of a barn. I really want to see what Sage can do, but as long as Gus is in I will cheer for him, and at least he hasn't thrown any pick-6's.....yet.

So far 8 interceptions in 7 games....and a few lucky bad passes that could have been easily intercepted. Bus Gus!

frerotte hasn't been nearly as horrific as fiedler or feeley at their worst

I agree. He certainly isnt the answer...and he is hurting our offense for sure, but he isnt giving points to the other team. When fiedler and feeley were in there was just as good of a chance for the other team to score while on defense as when they were on O.

Realy i am not a Guskateer and i am actualy a Fiedler fan... but when i saw that throw i knew the difference...
honestly i dont understand how the coaches even called that play in the past.. .rediculous

Honestly who cares? Gus is here Jay is gone!

Gus is only slightly better than Jay. That's like saying sand is better tasting than rocks. He's just a fill in until we acquire a real franchise QB via trade or really high draft pick.

I can think of about 5 passes that hit defenders hands and they simply dropped it or stepped out of bounds when they caught it.

I think our offenses lack of short slants and quick outs, the kind of routes you can jump for pick-6, has helped Gus avoid those results.

However, Gus does fumble it quite a bit. He also throws a good number of inaccurate passes and INTs that were dropped.

Clearly we need a future QB next offseason.

LOL

Whatever

we were also
5-1- 6 INT'S none returned for a TD 7td's 55%+ 10 sacks
4-2- 9 INT'S EWWW 1 returned for a TD 6 TD'S AND 5 SACKS 60% + 200+YPG
5-1- 6 INT'S NOne returned for a TD. compl % OVER 60 9 TD'S 6 SACKS 200+ypg
4-2 - 6 td's 7 INT'S 8 SACKS 1 RETURNED TD'S 58%+ 190+YPG

You guys way overexaggerate how many pick 6's that Fiedler had.
In those 24 games he only had 2 TO'S returned for TD'S. These were the games that started the season.

I would much rather have Fiedler back then this current bum.

Now let's look at Frerotte

8 td's
51.8%
right around 200 ypg
8 int's
1 returned for a TD
12 sacks

Looks to me like Fiedler was making similar mistakes but he was doing better in other areas to make up for it IE. running plays making stuff happen withhis legs. Plus he took less sacks

3-4 with Frerotte

I would love to have Fiedler back. His only crime was not having Marino as a last name.

He sure as heck wasn't a great QB nor was he the savior but in no way was he the problem.
