Jarvis Landry carried the rock 18 times last season for 113 yds and 1 TD. I expect that total will at least double this year, and possibly triple, if there are injuries to our RB corps.

Dolphins may very well go with six WR's, three or four TE's , and just three RB's.

Stills, and even Parker may get a few sweeps and/or reverse plays, but I doubt if we see them carrying the rock.

If Grant weren't so tiny I would expect him to be used quite a little, but this guy needs to add 15 pounds something fierce. Someday he may bulk up to 180 and develop a peculiar blocking technique for a guy his size, but right now I expect only gadget plays here and there, and if he does line up in the backfield I wouldn't expect him to carry it; I'd expect him to run a route.

If the Dolphins do, indeed roster 6 WR's and 3 or 4 TE's, then I would not be surprised to see Caroo taking snaps behind Kenyan Drake. Rutgers never used him as a ball carrier. However, Caroo's blocking prowess is well known, and he seems to run with serious conviction once he becomes a ball carrier. I am not saying that Caroo won't still be Devante Parker's primary backup and a solid #4-6 WR, and a stud ST's guy; I'm just saying the guy has skills. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2016/04/03/ranking-the-top-five-receivers-in-the-2016-nfl-draft/

I sincerely hope that if Duarte makes the 53 that he will indeed be able to effectively play some FB or H-back; because if he can't, it is a wasted pick IMO.

Dion Sims is a traditional TE; if he ends up in the backfield it will be bad news.

I think it is a shame that Jordan Cameron has added so much weight. He should have remained a 245 pound TE/WR IMO. I think he is 260 now, so I doubt we even see him in the slot much in this offense. Hope I am wrong. He won't be making any appearances in the backfield.

Stoneburner is still a huge ? I will be very curious to see what Gase does with him. Stoneburner played a WR/H-back role in Urban Meyers spread offense his senior year at Ohio State and he finished with 9 TD's. This guy has some serious wheels in the open field. Stoneburner was an academic award winner at Ohio State. That book learnin ability may help him pick up the new offense quickly. That may indeed help him make this roster, and who knows....maybe Gase sees a little WR/H-back in Stoneburner as well.

Do we have receivers who can carry the rock??? Or do we need to sign Arian Foster AND Reggie Bush???

Seriously, is there anyone out there who thinks we have anything in Daniel Thomas or Isaiah Pead?

Jake Stoneburner is not a burner in the NFL

He ran a 4.53 at his pro day at 245. He is now 250. After NFL strength and conditioning, I really doubt he has lost any speed; more likely he is faster, besides, watch him closely next time your watching Dolphins replays; he can motor. He would have an advantage on most LB's that aren't safeties masquerading as LB's.

Another thing about Caroo that a lot of people don't realize or have forgotten, he injured his ankle in the Senior Bowl game and didn't train at all for the combine. The ankle was still bothering him during workouts which is why you don't see any numbers for shuttles or the three cone. I am not saying he is a burner, he isn't, but 4.45 is probably closer to his real 40 time, and you could probably add a few inches to his vertical as well if he had been 100%.

hopefully we won't have to run any gimmick plays and just run plays where we have the advantage of a matchup because of the offensive ingenuity Gase has. the key to doing a play like this is timing. Under Philbin it always was a drive killer.
