I watched the game yesterday but do not have the game tape etc.
My observation with Chadd Pennington was he was holding the ball a bit long. My question for some of you who have game tape or were at the game were the Maimi Recievers, tight end and running backs getting open yesterday or was Pennington just holding the ball too long?

When Pennington threw that INT, Ronnie Brown was wide open on the right near flat.

If Penny just looked a bit to the right, there's a long gain and not an INT.

I noticed other times Penny missed open receivers that were close to his intended target. He needs to get off his looks quicker.

On his fumble early, he definitely held the ball too long. On many other times, the OL gave him zero time.

The term getting open is a little hard to define....problem for Penny is most the time the guy has to be WIDE open or he isnt throwing it....a Qb who can put more velocity on the ball can squeeze it into tighter spaces.....

I guess I would define holding the ball 3 seconds or longer with no one open

Again, depends on your idea of open...Ive watched plenty of games where guys like manning throw the ball to guys that don't appear to be open, but they are all throw Penny gets picked on.

Armando also talked about Ginn being open a few times and not being thrown too...

but like someone above said, Penny's definition of open is different than most other QBs...
