Red Flag for Brian Schottenheimer?

Ill take shottenheimer as coach. Yea he has survived a head coaching change because he is such a bad coordinator. The offense definately hasnt been good this year but it is week 5 and alot of football left to play.Big deal possibly him and the receivers have had a disaagreement.

Brian is a good OC, typical fans whine about the OC whenever there are problems on O. Did Dan henning getting fired magically ,make henne a good QB and transform your O? of course not, it's aout execution and right now our O isn't executing.

Does this mean you finally admit Sanchez blows and getting a new OC won't change that?

NYJUNC obviously loves watching his team go 3-and-out 7 or 8 times a game and watching his "franchise QB" look like an overpriced backup against the 32nd ranked passing defense.

In all fairness to Shotty, Jabba The Jet ain't exactly helping matters by insisting on a conservative offensive scheme that probably doesn't fit his QB or the way NFL offenses are heading because of the sophistication of modern defenses.

Do not want. I'm not saying hes a bad OC but we need a top flight coach in the biggest way and Shott doesnt make my toes tingle as the Mad Dog would say. It is interesting how he is reviled by many many jets fans though. There are many jets fans who have major Mark Sanchez love and to them he can do no wrong. They will blame everyone and everything else to deflect any criticizm of Sanchez. Whether it be the OL, the defense, the refs or the receivers, blame will be placed somewhere except on Sanchez. Shott is a convienent outlet for many of their fans and instead of admitting to Sanchez's flaws and limitations its much easier for them to blame Shott.

Again, im not saying that Shott is a great OC and that he doesnt bear some of the blame but to a large population of jets fans hes the sole reason why their offense is bad. Their are a number of fans who think Sanchez is the problem but it seems much fewer in relation to those that hate Shott.

I dont think this is abnormal either. I'm sure Jets fans arent exclusive in creating this particular mindset. Heck, its much easier to just fire an OC than replace your starting "franchise" qb who you wasted a top 5 pick on and subsequently paid tons of money too.

Funny that when it was Henne who had the porous OL, disappointing ground game and questionable offensive playcalling the forums consensus agreed it was mostly on him,

but when it's the Taco who realistically would be a back up on at least 16-18 teams in the league, disappointing groundgame and his porous OL and questionable offensive calls, and the OC whose head is being called for for quite some time now, but presently in a frenzy, it's gonna be on anyone but them from a homeristic looking glass.

In other words, if you agree with the consensus on FH, then the popular opinion is right, if you disagree on FH you're wrong, but if you disagree with the masses on TGG, JI (or Broncos forums as far as Orton is concerned) they don't know what they're talking about :idk:

Because Taco sux, doesn't make BabySchott suck any less.

I think his offense suits the QB well. Quick short throws, run it a lot, and because your running decently you can bootleg. We all know Sanchez can't sit in the pocket and deliver passes accurately and timely anywhere on the field. But if he was ran the offense here, you guys would be calling for his head for sure.

Sanchez couldnt of dropped into a better situation. He came to a team with an elite defense, an elite OL and an elite running game. Hell, his first year they were averaging 175 yards on the ground a game. I think his shortcomings are being revealed since those facets arent so elite anymore.

I think you are being generous when you say he would be the backup on 16 teams. I think its higher

and yet on the road we only scored 6 less pts than the juggernaut Bills did against them at home.

Does this mean you finally admit Sanchez blows and getting a new OC won't change that?

Nope, we have a good QB and good OC. The biggest problem has been the OL which hasn't produced a running game or protected the QB. We saw that settle down a bit yesterday w/ the return of Mangold. This O should only keep getting better. Outside of the Baltimore debacle this O is averaging 24 PPG, if we score 24 PPg we will win many more than we lose and this O hasn't even played well yet.

mark has disappointed so far this year but to be fair he's had no ground game and no OL. This team and this O have been through rough patches each of the last 2 seasons and they have overcome. I expect they will do it again.

Andy Reid's situation for example. If people didn't fumble the ball, go offsides when its obvious the team isnt going to hike it, better protect the quarterback, then they might have won. Only people that haven't played real football will blame the coaches.

Chan Gailey has gotten 4 wins and 1 loss from the "No Name" Bills. The Bills have had 3 pick sixes in the last 3 games, and they've intercepted both Brady and Vick 4 times each. They win by outpassing the opposition or by siccing Freddy Jackson on them. They scrap, and they never quit. The Bills starting offense on opening day had a total price tag of $11 million BTW, the biggest chunk of that going to OLers Eric Wood and Andy Levitre who were first and second round picks in 2009 and WR Roscoe Parrish.

Andy Reid has gotten 1 win and 4 losses from the "Dream Team" Eagles. Instead of taking a sure FG at the end of the half, knowing that the Bills are getting the ball after half time, Reid has to try 1 more play.

Oh, yeah, and everybody on the field, in the stands, and watching on TV anywhere in the world knew that the Bills weren't going to actually go for it on 4th and 1 from the 50, and the stupid, undisciplined Eagles still jump off sides. ROTFLMAO. That kind of stupid mistake comes from poor coaching, from not demanding accountability. Don't they practice against the QB making a hard count against the DL? Maybe they don't because they're all big name guys making big $$$. That's the kind of mistake the Bills used to make when Dick Jauron was their HC.

3 of the wins were at home, 1 road win at a terrible KC team. Can we please hold off on the celebrations. the Bills are decent, nothing more. let's not act like Gailey is some genius, his track record as a HC tells us otherwise.

They traded up to move into the Top 5, too, so they wasted more than just a Top 5 pick. They could have Freeman, who's been better for much less. The lesson here for the Fins and their fans is to NOT take a QB just to take one. Don't trade up and don't settle. Think Freeman (#16), Rodgers (#24) and Roethlisberger (#11).

I'm not sure if its Schotty or Sanchize or both. A lot of the criticism of the Jests offense, not just from the fans, but from analysts in the media as well, especially after the debacle in Baltimore, sounds similar to the criticism that was leveled against Buffalo's HC Dick Jauron, OC Turk Schoenert, and QB Trent Edwards. It turned out to be all three. The Jets aren't as bad as the Bills were, but they aren't producing anywhere near as well as their talent on paper says they should.

I'd look elsewhere for a HC than the group from the Jests. Keep in mind that numerous great Coordinators crash and burn in their gigs as HC.

And the Jests got lucky against Dallas and looked okay against the QB-less Jags, and all the Jests fans were pricing SB tix in Indy already.

And yeah, Chan is closer to genius than some guys who can't get a large collection of talent to play like a team. He picked up the pieces in Dallas and got that team to the playoffs when he was HC there. He picked up the wreckage in B-LO left by Jauron, and has the team heading in the right direction. It's early yet, but the Bills are still on top of the AFCE.

That trade was an asbolute heist, we basically gave up a 2nd rd pick in order to move up and select our QB for the next decade +.

what makes Freeman better? his better #s against lesser competiion last year? or his worse #s w/ expectations for the first time this year?

How about the OL? How about losing our top backup in preseason then losing our most valuable OL for a few weeks? Notice how our OL looked much better last week- I wonder why that is?

So we got lucky against Dallas but it was all skill for Buf against NE, Oak and Philly?

He got Dallas to 8-8 w/ Aikman and Emmitt Smith and they lost giving Ari their first playoff win in decades(in Dallas by the way).

It's very early.

.

I just hope the jets FO continues to think that Sanchez is their franchise qb. The longer he's there the better it is for the rest of the afc since they have no shot of winning anything with him as their qb. The phins may be bad, but at least we have already realized that we dont have our franchise qb yet. For now the jets front office still think that they do. Sanchez couldnt bring them a title when they had an elite defense, an elite running game and an elite OL.

If Sanchez was the qb for buffalo this year they would be winless
