Canesheaven, despite being a great, well organized site, has a lack of traffic and use for several reasons, some being the fact that it is a very new site, a lack of games being currently played and the fact that many Finheaven faithful have chosen to stay within these subforums rather than venturing to the sister site for college talk.

I propose that the current college football board be phased out and all talk be redirected to Canesheaven, in addition to Canesheaven being reorganized to be more friendly to college basketball and non-canes fans. This would be beneficial to both sites, increasing synergy between them, as well as satisfying those who want more avenues to discuss the college sports(instead of college BBall threads going into the Other Sports forum and such). Currently, Finheaven is stealing traffic from Canesheaven and vice-versa, this move would solve a lot of problems IMO.

Canesheaven needs posters badly..it seems like everytime i post there, it doesnt move too much in the new post area..hopefully people on this site and others go there and have a great time..CH is a great forum also

great idea caps :hi5:

Great idea, Caps! I think will serve to draw posters to Canesheaven and build the membership more quickly

Yeah a link on the college forum to go to Canesheaven to talk about Hurricanes football/basketball, etc would be great. A lot of Phins fans are Canes fans, as well as a lot of Phins fans hate the Canes (thier loss:rolleyes: ) Anyways, it's a wise choice and I'm all for it. :peace:

One problem with that is, not all of us would appreciate being dumped at a Hurricanes site when we want to talk college football.......a link to Canesheaven would be great, a re-direct would be bad.

ehhh.. if the powers that be can carry the site until Miami begins winning, it would be swamped. I would point out that our beloved Hurricanes are not well recieved by the rest of college footballdom

I think the term 'redirect' was misused. It means something entirely different to HTML guys than 'normal' folks.

By 'redirect', I believe that Caps was suggesting that the college boards be hosted by Canesheaven.

Marty makes a good point...not everyone loves the 'Canes as some of us do and may just choose to post elsewhere if they were forced to post on an 'enemy' board.

I would like to see a link from the college board to Canesheaven. As The Heavens grows and expands, those links could be included as well.

Agreed. While there are a handful of UM fans in here, a lot of dolphins fans dont care much at all about the Hurricanes... we have a lot of UF, FSU, and fans of other teams around here who care about college football in general. A lot of people just go to the college page during draft time to get prospect info.

I, for instance, am a Penn State alumni. Just because I am a dolphins fan does not make me a Canes fan. I could care less about what happens in the state of Florida when it comes to college football and wouldnt want to be re-directed to a UM website when I want to read up on Bowl games or other college info. Im sure the Florida and FSU fans would not appreciate it either.

Correct Celtkin, I should have been more careful with my phrasing.
