According to the Washington Post, Denver and Washington are currently in trade talks centering around Dre Bly. One rumor has the Broncos sending Bly and a first and second round pick to the Redskins in exchange for the sixth overall pick in the draft.

The Broncos and Redskins have been frequent trade partners in the past and Dre Bly continues to request a trade to Washington, so expect some kind of deal to happen soon. Another rumor has Bly being moved for Ladell Betts.

Bly for Betts would be a steal for Washington IMO.

With all the move Denver has been making, I could see them trading Bly, 1st, and 2nd for #6. They'd have to be looking to add defensive talent at the 6th pick though. Whether Adams, Anderson, Branch, Landry, or Okoye.

That would essentially mean Adams. It isn't that unlikely. The deal makes sense if you say Bly and the 2nd or Bly and the early 3rd to trade up. Denver has Washington's third rounder too so that makes it more probable.

Washington is desperate to trade down.

IMO, it means Anderson. I think Anderson will be the better 4-3 DE. Gaines Adams will be better in the 3-4 IMO.

Washington does play a 4-3, right?

They both do. Adams is the same size as Simeon Rice and it's Jim Bates, two very light LE and RE defense, so he could fit. With the possible Moss-Rodgers trade this is how I have my draft.

1-Johnson
2-Thomas
3-Quinn (Texans)- doesn't matter really to us if it's Quinn(Browns or Texans) or Peterson (Browns), you'll see why
4- Adams
5- Anderson
6-Branch
7-Landry to the Falcons, with the Schaub trade
8-Peterson
9-Russell, Brown, Nelson, Ginn Jr.

Why would Denver deal for Betts when they just signed Travis Henry and still have Mike Bell?

They wouldnt. Betts just signed a new contract and Denver, of all teams in the NFL, isnt one for paying RB's top dollar as they seem to be able to make 1000 yard rushers out of 6th round draft picks.

Washington also needs Betts incase Portis goes down again. Washington wouldnt deal Betts either.

The trade makes no sense from either side.

5. Adams
6. Anderson
