Who is the first off the bench when either Long or Carey goes down?? Jansen, if we could get him cheap might be an option. Whadda think?

Wonder what JT thinks of him. Donald Thomas is out, I think longer than the start of camp based on the type of injury ( I hope not). So a vet to fill in might not be a bad idea.

The skins O-line is horrid! You want to take a RT they cut who was pretty bad last yr anyway, and move our RT who is solid to RG.....NO WAY!

He's old and broken down, I would rather wait and see what our young guys have before bringing in a veteran. I have a good feeling we will be surprised with the OL talent and depth this yr. I also think the move Sparano made in bringing in a new coach at that position was huge, I think coaching was a negative factor in our OL play last yr.

Jon Jansen has been a Pro Bowler and I thought maybe it was just a cap/age cut.

I didn't watch much Skins football last season (no Skins on my fantasy team) so I'm not sure if Jansen's skills have really dropped off that much. Are you sure about Jansen's recent play being that bad?

As for Carey, his versatility is important b/c it gives us some options.

As an example, if Andrew Gardner and/or SirVincent Rogers are our best options to replace the hole left by Donald Thomas (if that happens) and if those guys are better OTs than OGs, then moving Carey inside would be fine by me. He could dominate at RG.

Same theory holds true for FA OTs like Levi Jones and now, Jon Jansen.

Now, if Donald Thomas or any of our other OGs or a FA OG earns that RG job, then fine - leave Carey at RT.
