Redskins trade Archuleta to Bears

Sportcenter reports the 'Skins have traded S Adam Archuleta to the Bears for a 6th round pick. Why this is important to us is that it maybe now open up the possibility of Washington drafting Landry with their 6th pick, shaking things up in the draft.

That's possible because Archuleta was a huge disappointment in Washington last year.

Taylor and Landry tandem? Talk about two big safeties that can bring the lumber when they hit. Kinda scary if you think about it.

I don't know that it will. Most people were pegging the Skins to draft a DE which we do not need. However, it may mean they could be willing to trade down to #9 for instance, and still get Landry plus more.

They could take Landry and maybe will, but I still think Washington goes DLine. Their DLine has been terrible, especially rushing the passer. Gaines Adams and Jamal Anderson have to look really tempting compared to Andre Carter and Phillip Daniels.

I still see the Skins going with Adams/Anderson/Branch. However, if they are targetting Landry now as well, they could be more willing to trade down with us as at least 2 possibly 3 of the big defenders will still be there.

Ultimately though, I dont see this changing much.
