Listening to sports radio in DC, they kept harping on the fact " if only RG3 was anywhere near as productive as Thill etc... Some folks here don't appreciate how good our boy could be on his way to developing. Thill seems to be getting lots of love nationally

RGIII is appearing to be a bust - not because of his physical abilities - because he has failed to be able to work through his progressions.

His rookie season was a success for several reasons: The Redskins scheduled opponents in season one was weak. He was more difficult to game plan for because the opponents had a healthier player with wheels that they had not seen much of at that point in time. He was healthier therefore faster. He was able to mask his problems more with his running ability.

Now over the years he has failed to be able to see the field properly and his decision making has been consistently problematic over the past two seasons.

Now the coach does not want him but the owner does.

The Redskins mortgaged their future for a player that seems to be a bust.

Didn't Mike Shanahan prefer Tannehill over Bob Griffin

I think the posters around here that wanted RG3 continue to have funny posts everyday. :err: :chuckle:

Some are down right hilarious

ESPN980 or 106.7?

Well WEEI Boston was going over the division that the Patriots were of course going to easily win and while they didn't lump Tanny with the crap the Jets and Bills are rolling out one of the hosts said, "the Best QB they'll face twice is Tannehill and if there was a WIKI page for an average NFL QB he would be the centerpiece". I hope Tanny crams that down their throats. I'm so sick of NE this has to be the year. GO FINS!

People in and around DC all LOVED RGIII. They never considered Tannehill to be in his class or even remotely close. Funny thing is that even today most still consider RGIII elite and Tannehill subpar ... it's truly shocking. I show that Tannehill has been far more productive, they shrug it off. I explain that RGIII doesn't even have support of his own teammates and they just act like he would be by far better than Luck, Wilson, Tannehill and all the other young QB's except or hi 'unlucky' injuries. It's like beating my head against a wall.

Ryan IMO is the 3rd best QB from the 2012 draft.

Should the phins win week 1, it will cement that fact.

p.s I am taking into accounnt that RT has already beat Luck head to head.

p.s.s. What would have happened if Danny Snyder let Mike S take Ryan? Might Miami have taken Kuechly & then Russell W in round 2?

Very few running college QB's translate well to the NFL. RG3, Manziel, Vince Young, etc., they all get busted up, and they don't seem to really be that great at grasping the NFL play books. RG3 was a flash-in-the-pan his rookie year, little else.

Nobody was thinking tannehill at 3 many dolphin dolphins didnt like him where we took bim

He's never been the same since his horrible knee but his first season was electric and fun as hell for the fans but the aftermath...shudder
