So looking back on the year I think one of the things I'm happy to put to rest (if y'all remember) is the meme that circulated with the two ferraris parked next to the trailer park house. People saying what tua was, flanked by his new receivers, that he couldn't use them and was a trash qb. As it turns out, when healthy, Tua knows how to use those ferraris and made for some 'wow' moments. Good for him and for us! Now health is the big question moving forward but the capability exists! Which was not a certainty.

Hey whatever happens (hopefully playoffs), I think preseason we'd all have taken this deal....meaningful week 18 game with playoff hopes from a rookie HC and lots of injuries. It's crap how we ended up here but here we are.

Regardless of the outcome, not alot of draft capitol or cash, if this team can get a competent DC and a healthy team, we can be successful. Sometimes ya need some luck.

Other random thoughts from this year...
Byron you is a thief.
X man you're getting old.
Kader thanks for being here.
Bridgewater I'll see you later.
Cwilks pay the man.
Seiler you were a pleasant surprise.
Hill you are a real one.
Waddle keep learning from the master.
Armstead buy a hyperbaric chamber.
Chubb I want my picks back.
Gesicki you were much more valuable 6 months ago.
Sanders fill out a walmart application.
Philips give me a hug.
McDaniel, RUN. THE. DAMN. BALL.

AND Skylar good luck!!!

Tua get healthy
Chris Grier sign and draft some good offensive lineman
Stephen Ross get a new GM
New GM get a new defensive coordinator
New defensive coordinator scheme some passrush
Passrush give the secondary opportunities for turnovers
Turnovers stop plaguing Tua
Tua said stop forcing the ball downfield on 3rd down instead of taking the sure checkdown for a 1st down

I don’t know why one needs to say, “well in the preseason, we’d be happy with this” when we were 8-3 after November. That’s a cop out. That’s like being up $50,000 at the casino, losing all but $100, and thinking you had a good night. A five game losing streak during the most important part of the season is not something that can be handwaved away. And god forbid it’s not six so as to complete the banana peel skid from top of the division to last place and out of the playoffs.

Good list......

Sieler is a hidden gem on this team. Quietly does his job and makes a clutch play or two per game.
Hill is one if not the best player in the NFL. That guy is a man amongst men

I am really disgusted by the more info I learn on Byron Jones

Tua will bounce back, we just need to improve the back up situation

We have 8 wins.....how many wins would we have if our defense was middle of the pack instead of near the bottom of the league? We didn't need dominating, we just needed competent and we could have 2 to 3 more wins in my opinion. Was it Boyer....partially.......however injuries have a majority of the blame, I have never seen a unit with as much bad luck as our 2022 defensive team. Going into the season, I thought we were loaded at DB and Safety.....each week now we have new players back there that shouldn't be on the field.

Special teams are a disgrace. Complete overhaul needed there

We are still alive and breathing despite all of our problems. Lets see if we can take advantage of the opportunity we have tomorrow

a few more

I think you gave our LB core too much credit in your post..... nothing to see here..
Morstead had a solid year- and with a stronger defense, we would all recognize his ability to shift the field more
Holland- really impressed with your leadership and growth
Conner Williams fit in nicely at Center- good and relatively cheap FA addition

I want to see if McCoach is aggressive at making changes on his staff. We need fresh perspectives heading up ST and defense. Will he do what he did w Chase Edmunds and be a silent assassin or will he give the ST coach and Boyer participation trophies? I want to see if he’s got the killer instinct

Oh not discounting the garbage of the last month and a half. Literally ONE win there would've secured the playoffs and have been pissed for a month! Attempting to get outta my negative funk towards this football team, I'm also acknowledging that those 5 games weren't the only thing to happen this season.

It was late, I knew I would miss a few. Love holland and you're totally right!

Whoever is above Ross get a new owner?

This team did deliver the most exciting offense we have had in decades and Tua when healthy was a major reason. Unfortunately his fragility continues to be a major problem and turned a strong contender in the AFC into a squad that is battling very mediocre teams like NE and Pittsburgh for that final playoff spot. I would consider this year one of great disappointment if we don’t make the playoffs.
