who exactly is gibril wilson how old is he and hy did oakland release him? and why is everyone excited about him? wasn't oakland horrible last season? im not being sarcastic just trying to figure out who he is. I've honestly never really heard about him.
 
He started at FS for the Giants when they won the Super Bowl.

He hit free agency (not cut by NYG) and signed a huge deal with the Raiders. They moved him to SS.

All the high priced veterans were purged in Oakland. He didn't suck with them... their running defense was just horrible. Nobody really needed to pass on them!

We're moving him back to FS, the position he had with the super bowl champ Giants 2 years back

Last time you saw he, he was starting for the NY Giants in the SB at FS.. He's hard hitting tackling machine who by the way can intercept the ball..he's 27 years old, signed by the raiders last year for 39 mil..but because of the mr. A..(cb) extension...had to cut him for salary cap purpose..if you like Bell, here's a younger version...but with the int's.. ask Pennington about him, since he sacked him this year.. Farve knows him because he had a pick against him.. we upgraded is what you really need to know..
 
He has more tackles over the last 5 years than any safety in the NFL.
 
we wanted him badly last year, but Oakland took him.

We also wanted DeAngelo Hall....sorta. but the Skins just signed him to a contract worth 9 million a year....i find that silly.
 
Gibril Wilson was good on the Giants. I live in NJ so i've heard a good amount about him from previous years. He was always a solid player this is definately an upgrade for us without a doubt.
