Do you think they are the best team of all time?

I think that the 85 Bears were until this year. The Colts are a perfect team. They have a hall of fame QB, a great RB, A hall of fame wideout and 2 other WRs who are pro-bowl caliber, a GREAT offensive line and a killer D.

No other team in history can match up with that.
 
I agree about everything except for the "killer D."

Their D is vastly improved, but they are not that good. They are good enough just to compliment their juggernaut offense.

But yes, the 2005 Colts are one of the best teams ever.
 
Its starting to look more and more like that is correct. This Colts team can play smash mouth or air it out big time. Pick your poison!
 
If the Colts don't win the Super Bowl, then they will be the best regular season team ever and it will mean nothing. If they win the Bowl, regardless of a perfect season, they will considered one of the greatest.
 
You really can't compare this team to any other great team yet. A loss in the SB, or even worse a loss in the playoffs, and they aren't in the conversation.

If you are saying they go 19-0, then yes.

their D is not a "shutdown" D.

but they are good. very good.
 
Waaay too early to have this conversation. They haven't won anything yet. I don't know if they are even better than the Rams of a few years ago

I am not sold on their defense at all.

Also, I would not rank them with the Cowboys, 49er's, Bears, Dolphins, or certainly not the Steelers - (check out the number of Hall of Famers on that team)
 
If they win every game, they are the best team ever. Period. As of right now, the 1972 Miami Dolphins are the best team ever. You cannot do better than win every game. The rest is subjective. How can you even argue a team that won every single game they played is not the best :confused:
 
What about the 89-90 49ers? They were friggin' incredible.
 
Gotta give it a little more time on the Colts. The 99 Rams, 98 Vikings, and 03 Chiefs were offensive juggernauts playing good defense for a while, but only the Rams won it all.

Not that I expect the Colts to nosedive like the 03 Chiefs, but they may just fall short like the 98 Vikings. MAN, how I wanted to see the Vikings in the Super Bowl that year with the Broncos, and NOT the dirty birds.
 
They are very good but not even in the top 5 Imo. They are not neer good enough on D. They just are not intimidating like the bears and Steelers were. That and I just love watching that 85 bears team, Marino was the only QB that looked like he was not scared to death. Other QB's looked so scared that all they could think about was throwing the ball away even when nobody was around him.
 
I especially liked that 3rd quarter drive, after the Bengals brought it back to a 1 point game, the Colts went the whole drive smashing the football at the Bengals, telling them that they were not be bullied and that THEY were the DAWGS of the yard this year...
 
i think they won´t go undefeated but only because they will have homefield locked up probably by week 15 latest and then they will rest their starters and will probably lose to seattle in week 16, if they don´t would lock up HA then they would go undefeated imo

How bout the colts vs Ditka, it would be a good game but I gotta say Ditka 13 colts 10, Ditka will find a way
