i saw Daniel Thomas practiced over the weekend and will be playing tonight but i expect Reggie Bush to get more carries than Thomas and to be used alot more in passing plays as well.
I think Thomas will get his fair share of carries but when Reggie is on the field he is capable of scoring at any moment so i expect to see him alot more often tonight. Plus Reggies a veteran and DT is a rookie in his first ever real NFL game.
I think Daboll is going to be creative. I think he will try to create mismatches (something Henning never did) and call a pretty good game (good mix of run and pass to keep them off balance). I think he will get Reggie Bush heavily involved from the begginning. I know Daniel Thomas has shown some glimpses of some good things but overall has not been extremely impressive so far in the preseason. I hope he can make some plays tonight for us but its his first NFL game and its against the Patriots so im gonna have to limit my expectations. Sparano said he needs to play more aggressive and to not shy away from contact so much. Hopefully tonight DT hits the holes with more aggressiveness and shows he can be a legit RB.
Like i said i think Reggie will see more of the workload tonight. Hes extremely explosive, he can take a play the distance at any moment. The problem is that in his career these explosive plays come more often on receiving plays for him than rushing plays. He is not considered a featured back because of his injury history, size, and the fact that he has never been that great of a rusher in the NFL. Supposedly we plan on using him as a featured back. Tonight we will see what Reggie Bush is made of. Im excited to see how we use him and what hes capable of in this offense.
BUT...
In order for our RBs to have a good game we need our O-line to get their sh*t together and block for these guys. The Pats got big D-linemen and we got some question marks on the o-line. Hopefully our O-line holds their own tonight and gives Henne time and opens holes for our RBs.
So how much Reggie/DT do we see tonight? Who has the better game? Will they run Reggie between the tackles often? What do you guys think?
