Are we going to be utilizing Reggie as mainly a pass cathching Scatback, or will he be the RB to spell Thomas? Also if Thomas goes down with an injury is Reggie replacing him as our #1 back? (I always thought he wasn't a between the tackles runner, and a bit injury prone IMO.)

Anyone with more info please chime in.

Right now we dont have a true #1 back that can carry the ball 20 times a game imo

Do you think Coach Sparano is on these boards or something?

Yea big issues in the running back department. Right now its Daniel Thomas ,Lex Hillard as your bruising backs with a Bush, Sheets and or Grisby as scatbacks. They need a veteran brusing back which they do not have to spill Thomas.

how do u figure? u hear it all the time, running back is the easiest position for a rookie to jump into and be successful (relatively speaking)

We haven't seen much Lex bc of Ronnie n Ricky these last couple years, but every time I've ever seen Lex play, whether in exhibition or in game, dude bruises and gets positive yardage. I like Lex, I'm looking forward to him getting more opportunity, and I think the FO feels the same way, hence us standing pat at RB (besides Bush n Thomas)

Preseason may determine the best option if we don't sign Ricky back or something. I think your best punch is to mix it up but go with thomas at the start. Doesn't mean reggie can't get majority carries but I think to wear a defense down and get grind yardage in order for reggie to get big chunks, you need to pound with thomas. I'd love for Reggie to start though and look like a true speed RB, something he hasnt been in his NFL career.

We have the rookie to replace Brown. But he's still a rookie. We have Bush as a change of pace that they claim to be the starter. He is not a between the tackles RB. Our power back is Hilliard. Not sure what we have there. Was I more confident with Ronnie and Ricky? Sure. We knew what we were getting. But right now, there is too much unknown about what our RBs will do this season. There is a lot of potential there. We'll see. It could go either way.
