reggie bush- not as effective on grass- needs to play indoors

Reggie got almost 100 yards total rushing and recieving.

That's about what was expected.

1600 yards this year would be just fine.

Thomas (or whom ever) needs to do the inside pounding.

Reggie is more flash and dash.

I thought bush helped a lot. He run pretty good between the tackles when the line actually blocked. He obviously opened up the passing game big time

I didnt see grass being his problem last night. It could be more of a case that Bush isnt cut out to be an every down back.

Bush may not be cut out to be an every down back, but to act like that conclusion could be drawn from last night is silly. He only got 13 rushes and that was because of the pace of the game dictated favoring the passing attack.

I researched it!

Bush's Career Numbers are as follows. Not including last night though!

Grass

167 Carries for 563 Yards = 3.37 Yard Per Carry
98 Receptions for 729 Yards = 7.43 Yards Per Catch

Turf

357 Carries for 1,527 Yards = 4.27 Yards per Carry
196 Receptions for 1,413 Yards = 7.20 Yards per Catch

Keep in Mind that most if not all of the games on Turf were home games for him. This can have a postiive impact as crowd noise can be influential. Also, most of the time the Home Team is ahead or Wins the game so it changes things a little bit.

Never the less there is not a big disparity from Grass to Turf. Also, Grass will keep him healthier all year than what Turf would! Turf is what probably has made him get hurt every year!

Im not acting like you could draw that conclusion from last nights game.

However, perhaps you could try and draw that conclusion from his entire ****ing NFL career. Is that enough of a sample for you?

Im also well aware of how the game played out last night.

You mean the rest of his career where he hasn't had the opportunity to be a full-time runner? I know my comments might make it seem like I'm drinking the kool-aid, but I'm not necessarily sold on him either. Heck, I think that while Reggie Bush was a great PR move (for both teams and fans), Darren Sproles would have been the better option (at least when we were thinking in terms of speed back and not full-time back). But I'm willing to not let my own predictions cloud my judgement so I can see a 13 carry effort and say "I knew it, he's not a full-time runner".

This idea that Reggie has never been given the opportunity is a load of crap.

He was drafted as the savior of New Orleans. To replace Deuce McAllister in his dying years. Deuce outplayed him. And then the offensive Guru Sean Payton found the best fit for Reggie in an NFL role. To not be featured.Hopefully we'll catch onto that sooner rather than later because if not, its plenty of 3 yards per rush until he gets hurt again.

Rickey was effective on grass .... until Goodell reamed him!!
