Reggie Bush says that there are too many mistakes occurring in practice

You guys are funny. :)

This ain't high school football.

Sparano has no say or control over how often or how long the teams practices. The number of and length or practice times are a part of the CBA.

Under the new CBA, teams are required to conduct only one full-contact practice a week during the regular season. I believe the max amount of time they can practice in pads in 90 minutes and I think players can only be held at the practice facility for a max of 4 hours.

Bush was one of the few players to stay on the field practicing on his own and he's obviously calling out other players who need additional practice but aren't willing to put in the time.

So, really, blame the players who wanted less practice time with the latest CBA.

Now, carry on with your regularly scheduled Sparano hating. :)

Does proper stretching count as things that the Head Coach can make sure happens? How about teaching players not to comment penalties? Is a coach allowed to ask his players to please practice hard? Are they allowed to show a player where to line up when?

How are other teams getting around this?

Reggie Bush doesn't suck...but we're putting square peg in round hole with him.

exactly dude... why did we sign this guy if the plan was to run him up the middle and maybe get him out in space once or twice... feed this guy the ball outside the tackles, put him out on the flat or have him run routes that will get him in space. SPEED is the name of the game with him.... our coaches are DUMB

Listen, when guys like Davone Bess are there before and after practice catching balls off of the Juggs machine, it is not difficult to see why he catches just about everything thrown his way. The players, particularly with the new CBA, have to take initiative and do it for themselves. Whether Henne gets them together and they practice on their own time or the defensive players watch film on their own time, players need to be held accountable. Manning and Marvin Harrison used to warm up together before every single game. I'd bet that they spent a fair amount of time away from the coaches working on timing. I agree with Reggie and I don't blame the coaches if what he says is true.

Also, if anyone watched the Belichick documentary (which was amazing), he even pointed out how players were not playing as a team....not praising each other after good plays and such. We have guys like Sean Smith who is content to celebrate when he DIDN'T make a play and the pass was just off target. These guys have lost the script.

when we got reggie bush, the saints said, "oh and here is a guide book on how to get him in space and be dangerous"... the dolphins said...

to hell with that, we are smarter than the one year removed super bowl champs.. we are going to get him between the tackles.

I want to hear how practices were conducted fromoutsiders like Bush and Burnett. They came from different teams. The Saints are winners and the Chargers are more than Miami. So maybe they see something lacking from TS and his practices.

Every team has injuries and the Dolphins don't have the most injuries in the league.

What your doing is looking for any excuse you can to blame everything you can on Sparano when the truth is in the current NFL he doesn't have the power or authority that some think he has.

*note: I'm not defending Sparano as a coach, I'm criticizing players who need to take responsibility for themselves as professional athletes.

You can only cover so much in a limited amount of time and the last time I checked the players are grown men and professional athletes. A coach shouldn't have to spoon-feed them fundamentals or run them through some extra hammy stretches because they lack the motivation to do it on their own.

The current CBA is soft, because of this undisciplined players are going to be soft and get injured. Bush hasn't been spectacular so far but he is one of the few players that was putting in his own time while the rest of the team was off to the titty club. The same goes for Bess.

When a team is 0-3, everybody should be out on the field, every day, on their own time, practicing. This has nothing to do with Sparano since he can't make or ask them to do it (against CBA rules) it's on the teams leadership to make it happen.

It's when things are the worst is when you really see what people are made of, are they competitors or a bunch of girls with sand in their vaginas. If the team quits because they are losing then I'm out for the season.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING COMMON SENSE!!!! These guys need to be out their on their own if they have any pride. Hell, I'd be out there on my own if I was 3-0. You can always improve, and being complacent gets you nowhere. I sense a closed door, players only meeting in our not-too-distant future. Its time for the vets to lay down the law and call guys out.

Of course Reggie is going to back sparano, he's the only fool who thinks he is an every down back.
