Colts | Wayne agrees to $40M deal

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Indianapolis Colts and WR Reggie Wayne have agreed to terms on a six-year deal worth nearly $40 million. The deal also includes $13.5 million in bonus money.

Glad we signed Chambers for much less...
 
THat is a crazy amount of money for Wayne. Yes, he's pretty good. But wow. No way would I want Miami to pay that kind of money for him anyway.

That much money to your #2 WR is called stupidity. Is he the highest paid (altho arguably the best) #2 WR in the NFL? I would like to know.
 
Edge is far more important to that team then Wayne, as good as Wayne is. I dont understand why the Colts cant see that.
 
Where do the colts find all this money? Harrison, Wayne, and Manning all have huge contracts with guaranteed money. Do they have someone from the Broncos front office working for them? Maybe they are going to list Manning 's salary as the vet minimum.

Poor EDGE...LOL!!!!! He was paid every penny of his first contract of 49 million dollars. Even when he didn't hit his incentives, the Colts paid him anyways...Then he gets 8 million last year..So in 8 years he has made 57 million dollars.....Poor Edge LOL!!!!

I agree 100%. Its much easier to replace a #2 reciever (yes, a very good one) than a Running Back of Edges caliber. Edge is the HOFer, not Wayne.
Edge is the catalyst to the whole offence. Not Wayne.

it's more a matter that a) edge would cost a lot more as a franchise back and b) he apparently doesn't want to play for them.
