Reggie Wayne's stint with the Patriots was short-lived.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Wayne signed with the Patriots to help bolster their passing attack, but the six-time Pro Bowler stated Saturday that he asked for his release because the team was "not fun," according to NBC Sports.

Wayne went on to say the “work environment was tough" at Patriots camp. The 36-year-old likely Hall of Famer is at the stage in his career where he can decide whether it's worth playing, and he obviously saw something he didn't like in New England. Now the decision is whether to retire.

The Patriots have decided to head into the season with just four wide receivers — Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Chris Harper — on the active, 53-man roster until Brandon LaFell returns from the PUP list.
