With all this bickering what do you most of you think of new dolphins. Its only One game but do you feel we are progressing or regressing?

I felt like we progressed. We struggled for sure, but we remained in the game and had a chance to win it in the final minute. We were only 18 yards away from it being a 21-20 game.

I'd say they're PROGRESSING. At least based on the play of some players. The TE position played better than last year, and the front 7 did too. But mistakes again cost this team a victory. Thats not progress. I know they are young i know they have a long way to go, but clock management is something that you HAVE to be able to do if you want to succeed in the NFL. That was a HUGE disappointment in today's game.

Well the team was 0-1 at this point last year, and they are once again 0-1 at this point in 2008.

So I guess it's hard to say at this point. Ask me again in month or two (or better yet, in February).

def. progressing...our lines are much improved

This is an obvious answer. We are definitely in the right direction. We have more issues to address, but it can't all be adressed in 1 year. We will go 6-10, maybe even 8-8, if we play solid. In 1 or 2 years we will be a playoff team.

That dosen't mean anything. If the Colts or the Pats go 0-1 that dosen't mean they are going to suck.

This is becoming last year all over again. We made every excuse and said we "looked" better each loss. "We only lost by 3 blah blah." I personally was not impressed. The team looked horrible and made way too many mistakes.

The game calling was very questionable. Are you not confident in our running game that we won't even pound the ball from 3 yard line? That made sick to watch.

Unfortunately, we are not even close to the Colts or Patriots as far as talent goes. Your response makes no sense at all.

progressed .. struggled but showed a lot more professionalism and heart .. very nice to see that we're not the same team even with the L

I'd say we aren't worse but we aren't better..im really not sure. People are saying we are a young team, this is whats expected to happen, yadda yadda. But when the rubber hits the road..the real definition of progression is Wins vs Losses. We lost so..I'd say we are still in the same spot.

I think we are definitely moving in the right direction, but we desperately need more production out of the WR position.

Pennington really carried our team today. I think we got more production out of the TE position in one game than we have in the past two seasons.

Brady is out for the year, we need to pick it up starting next sunday in the desert.

So your saying that win/loss record doesn't mean anything in terms of the progress of a team year over year?

Interesting...

Call me old-fashioned, but I subscribe to the old Parcells logic..."you are what your record says you are"

Thus far, we're 0-1, just like last year. Hopefully, we will win a few games in September and/or October, and I'll be able to definitively say that we're better than we were last year.

Until then, I really can't say with any real conviction.

Given that fact that in the off-season we tore the OL apart, got rid of the on-field leaders, replaced the majority of our coaching staff, implemented a new playbook and really didn't do much to address one of our greatest weaknesses (our WR corps), I would say that we have still progressed. Honestly, with all of those things stacked against us, along with the BS calls of the officials, we should not have even been in the game today. This team just needs time to gel (OMG, how many times have I either said or read that over the past decade in reference to the Phins).
