I do not want to be "Debbie Downer", but how many times in the recent past have we seen this team follow up an inspiring performance with an absolute crap performance. I have come to expect the team to sink into the depths with so much on the line. I hope and pray it does not happen, but I am preparing for the worse so I do not destroy anything else in my house.:frown

A lot of people around here thought that same thing after the Denver game, and we actually played even better against the pats, obviously, it'll be extremely difficult to play as well as Monday every game, but I think win or lose your going to see a team closer to the last two weeks as apposed to the team that lost 5 in a row.

My biggest worry is not having a bye week and how the team handles it.

Actually, we never saw it under Gase. We had looked very good last year in December, so as we do right now. Se let's see if he can keep the attitude up and make us win three more. I would have never had the same hope with Philbin, than I have right now with Gase.

I don't expect them to go into the Playoffs, but I expect them to play three hard fought games and then we will see where it leads us.

I don't think you're a Debbie Downer, I think you're very optimistic if you're expecting much out of this team just because of a couple good games. :roflmao

By history, it's quite common. Next game is on the coaches

I thought that the Denver game was luck and we would look like **** against the Pats. However, it looks like Miami is finally clicking and turned it around. I definitely think that they can win out.

Hope our team assimilates to the cold, snowy weather. Bring the appropriate cleats!!!

coming out flat after an emotional win is common, putting together a winning streak(like last year), not so much. If Gase can lead a winning streak every December, he's a keeper

I fully expect this team to lay an egg this week. That's Dolphins football at its finest.

It's always tough after a Monday night game. It will be interesting to see how the team responds against Buffalo. The Bills have a lot of talent and can run the ball. It will be a big test.

But, if Miami plays the way they have in the past two weeks it's possibly they could run the table.

I'm also trying not to get my hopes too high because the OP is right. I've seen the team lay an egg so many times in the past that I've come to expect it now. It might not happen this week but they have let us down so many times in the past. Like I have said before, I'm watching just to see who should be here next year and who's making progress and who's fading away too. If I see the younger players making progress then I'm happy about that. Keep on mind that even if we go 3 and 0 there's no guarantee that we'd make the playoffs.

Ozzy rules!!

True but this Gase team seems different. Seems like winning becomes addictive and routine. I won't count my chickens before they hatch but I also won't pin the stigmas of previous coaching staffs on this one.

One game at a time. The key this week IMHO is:

1. Good enough weather for us to run the same offense we showed against NE. Creative passing games with mismatches.
2. Stuff McCoy.
3. Make Tyrod beat us with is very average WR stable.
4. No TO's or bonehead INT's. We need a consistent Cutler.

Agreed, but I'd add the coaches in 'making progress.' I want to see evidence of a gameplan AGAIN and good play-calling AGAIN. The last two games have shown, with good play-calling, this team has talent. Nowhere NEAR 'blow it up and start over." And that's WITH starters out or banged up. Still, it's hard to shake expectations.
