I agree with you. Unfortunately, no one is realizing today that losses are a part of the NFL.

Relax....are you fking kidding me.
We've just lost to a sh i tty Buf team that has nothing to play for, and we are supposed to be in the mix of playoff hunt.
I was really relax couple years ago....may be you expected us to take a reverse in our progression. Not me.

Teams that have nothing to play for are the most dangerous teams. No wins are guarenteed... Oakland beat Philly and Cincy... KC beat Pittsburgh... There are no givens in the NFL. We got beaten today, so what. It sucks but it's not like we're back to square one because we lost to a team that we should've beaten doesn't mean we suck. We're still a damn good football team, and unfortunately, that team didn't show up today.

1.) We blew out Buffalo earlier in the year. Both game's final scores were misleading I must admit as both games were closer than they were. Especially this game.

2.) This was a game we COULD NOT afford to lose if we want to make playoffs with our remaining schedule. This was the easiest game left on our schedule and we blew it. This game will definitely come back to haunt us along with IND and NO in a "what could've been but won't be" season.

Regarding the game, our defense is and has been pathetic in the second half (especially the 4th quarter) all season and today was no different. Once Owens caught the TD, the game was essential over and I'm not pointing fingers at Henne and the offense for not making a comeback in a game we really could've won. I have not spoken out once against our team's playcalling this season although there has been questionable calls all year. Throwing with Ricky at the goaline (regardless of whether it's an INT, TD, or incomplete) is a terrible call and hurt us big. Ricky ran good the whole game. Correction, Ricky ran good when we gave it to him... then we stopped. We should have not only won this game but could have perhaps put it away early and take a lot more time off the clock if we continued to run. Didn't expect Lindell to hit a 56 but even then, why abandon the run game when you need at least a FG to tie? I am not a fan of the tap the helmet 15 yd penalties but it's a "new" rule". Oh anybody else see Polite get hit out of bounds? Yeah you did if you saw the game, I guess the refs missed it?

Normally I can shrug off losses but this one really bothers me. Just such a poor performance all around.

I'm so sick and tired of the defense giving up a score immediately after we score. The offense comes out in the 2nd half and does it's job; a 16 play, 9 minute TD drive. So what does the defense do? Allows a 13 play 75 yard TD drive.

Why do we not attempt a deep throw until our backs are against our goal line with around 7 minutes left in the game? Why must Henning try to prove how much smarter he is than the DC? Last week we played good fundamental football. No wildcat, no Pat white, no trick plays. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.

I hear you and I agree. I'd be all for eliminating the WildCat for the rest of the season. We lost Ronnie Brown (who lets face it, was THE MAN for the Wildcat) and we lost Patrick Cobbs who is underlooked, underrated, and a huge loss for the team and the wildcat. As for Pat White, that's looking to be a worse pick than Ginn but in White's defense, he hasn't really gotten many chances and hopefully he can pan out in the long run but I won't be holding my breath.

Yes losses do occur in the NFL on any given Sunday, particularly to teams that have nothing to play for. But to see the same mistakes repeated, especially by the coaching staff, is disheartening at best.

look at who we've beat this year. Jets twice,Buff,Tampa,Carolina... Honestly do you really think even if we won this game we was gonna make the playoffs ? Yes it was possible and still is. But with our remaining sched. lets all be realistic.
