Remember AJ Edds?

He would be on the bubble if he was healthy IMHO..

How could we forget AJ. He didn't do much on the field but still contributed to the dead money against this year's cap.

His college Teammate Pat Angerer is the starting Middle linebacker of the Colts and he is lights outs he is only 6"1, I always though Edds being 6"4 would be better plus he was a great cover linebacker but it seems like this might not be for him too many injuries, made of glass!

If he hadn't gotten hurt his rookie season, i could have easily seen him being a 3rd down coverage specialist and core special teamer. I don't think he ever would have been a starter b/c he was limited physically, but he could have been a contributor. The problem is that ACL injuries take a good 1+ year to completely recover (you can heal in months and be good enough to play again but to get back to pre-injury ability is longer) and since Edds wasn't the fastest or most athletic guy to begin with, the injury hurt his ability to develop as a rookie and really put him in a tough spot to make the roster last year being his first year back.

Ah AJ Edds....not exactly one of Irelands finer picks.

I'm not sure how we can really blame Ireland for a pick when the player got injured a day into practice. Edds didn't have an ACL history going into the draft. Fluke.

Who can forget AJ Edds. Another FH hero. He's in the FH hall of fame with Brandon London.

AJ Edds is quickly following the career path of Terrell Thomas of the Giants.

Sad to say that his potential will probably never be realized.

fluke with the colts too?

What a marginalizing comment.

Clearly having torn his knee up while on the Dolphins would leave him a little more susceptible to re-tearing it again. He DID NOT have any history like that prior to getting drafted.

We have a lot of blurters around here who just say crap for effect.

biggest strength was his coverage ability, but once we got Kevin Burnett to go alongside Dansby (who himself is decent in coverage) he really had no spot on the team.
