Once again I was watching NFL Network and #7 on the list of "worst NFL foul ups" was when our perfect season suddenly looked like it could be stolen from within our grasp. I was not even born yet...so it was new to see this play unfold. I can laugh at it because it was...quite funny, but I am sure you older phin fans were steaming when you saw this AWFUL PLAY take place...lol, heres a summary of what happened but does NOT do it justice...watching it you cannot help but laugh.

Garo No!
Super Bowl VII

The 1972 Miami Dolphins are known for their perfect, undefeated season. But just because their winning record went untarnished, that's not to say that the team didn't suffer any embarrassments that year. In Super Bowl VII, with a 14-0 lead, the Dolphins were setting up for a 42-yard field goal with just two minutes remaining in the game. The kick was blocked and came back to Dolphins kicker Garo Yepremian who, instead of falling on the pigskin, made a pathetic attempt at a pass. The ball then slipped out of Yepremian's hands and went directly into the arms of Washington Redskins cornerback Mike Bass, who returned the fumble for a touchdown.

Although Garo's blunder gave the Dolphins a real scare, they still managed to keep their unblemished season intact, finishing with a 14-7 win.

In the footage when Garo tries to make the pass he literally looked like RAY LUCAS! The ball slipped out and went straight up about a foot in the air and came back down...Garo flailed and slapped the ball straight into the redskins hands...it was just hilarious to watch...any of you guys remember watching this place live? Where were you? How'd everybody take it? What happened to poor ol' Garo afterwards?

#3 was the Thanksgiving game when the cowboys player tried to dive on missed FG ball in the snow and our boys won!! Enjoyed watching that one :)
That was a good memory, haha!
