The Falcons ran the ball 45 times for 200 yards against us that game. I do remember TJ Duckett having a field day running right down our throats. Hopefully that was just pre-season as many of you will say, but the fact that it is pre-season and our schemes were "vanilla" should not mean much for run defense since run defense is predominantly physical and not scheme like pass defense is. Having said that, obviously the key in this game is to stop the run and I think we will have a much harder time doing that than many think. Look at how the Chiefs ran it down our throats.... we NEED to stop the run and make Vick beat us passing the ball. In fact, we need to play the falcons the way teams have been playing us... single safety, man coverage on the outside, 8 in the box.

lol that was the most meaningless game of the year......we aren't even the same team really in any aspect as that day lol

The only thing similar about the 4th preseason game and this weeks contest will be the color of jersey's worn.

Gotta say that it really doesn't mean much. Both teams are really different and well...most that game was decided by guys who may not even be on the field Sunday.

Yeah, I have to agree, regardless of what happens Sunday, the game will be different in every way as far as preperation, playing time, and mindset...

Its interesting that all the predictions that I've seen picking the Dolphins to beat the Falcons, highlight the Phins defense stopping Vick. You're right about the running game it can also be a factor. However, I think the bigger question is obviously our offense vs. the Atlanta defense. Will we perform at the NFL level this week offensively? We had better because Atlanta has a solid D. I just don't think that we have the talent on the O-line this year to beat an Atlanta. O-Line penalties will kill us. I want to believe we will win but just can't honestly. I hope I'm wrong.

And not even that will be the same. Since it's a day home game, the Dolphins will be wearing white, rather than the aqua they wore for the night home preseason game.

Yep, and I remeber RW running all over Tampa Bay too. What does preseason have to do with this game?
