replace Taylor Whitley with Vernon Carey?

Maybe Wanny like Whitley's flowing locks of hair. :roflmao: But seriously, I would have yanked wade smith and whitley in the bengals game. put St Clair at LT and put Carey at RT and had Hadnot move in at RG.

Your right on that one! I was watching the Carolina game, and they showed him on the side line working with the players, and they were paying him a lot more attention then Tony Wise was getting Sunday! I think that was a bad move on the coaching front. If my memory serves me right, DW said this was an upgrade, when it really was him hiring another friend!

Yeah Wise and Armstrong are downgrades from Boudrou and Westoff. Wise has not done a good job w/ these young guys. That was the WORST performance by an O-line I have ever seen. They couldn't block anybody. carolina plugged in a bunch of younger guys and break off about 200 yds rushing. Now they did look green against Greenbays all out blitz monday night.

Not that unsettling, I mean our coach is Wanny and we all know how good a judge of talent he is.
 
I am content right now with getting Wade out of there and McIntosh in at LT. Too many changes all at once will be even more disruptive on the OL.

Whitley is next on my list to bench though, if he does not show up versus the Steelers.

After a first and fourth for Carey, it is a real concern he is not playing given how poorly most of the OL has done. I hope it is just a case of Wanny not wanting a rookie in there just yet.

You could just about label Wade Smith a bust, and if Carey joins him, along with one or two other OL guys? Well, you can't rebuild just through free agency given the salary cap, so it could be ugly for another year or two. :cry:

You almost hope it is Wise being incompetent, so some of these guys can be coached up to be decent starters. :shakeno:
 
I have been waiting for this to come up since I just told my daughter this past sunday how WANNY got rid of 2 good coaches so he could hire his friends, or as he put it , " people I can trust"

Our special teams have gone downhill since the change and so has our O line.



I also wish our O line looked more like



Mc Intosh 6'4" 328#

James 6'3" 320

Hadnot 6'2" 323

St Clair 6'5" 310

Carey 6'5" 333


I dont understand why Mckenney gets a free pass. He didnt do anything last year and I havent seen him do anything this year either. And yes I do know that I am not a coach, and they do know more than I do , or at least they should>
 
I wonder if there is any chance of Smith being a good guard. It appears that his biggest problem is his foot speed while trying to contain outside rushers. He could be an awful guard but it is just a thought because it appears quite obvious that he will never be a tackle.
 
Get Whitley out of there and get Vernon in. I don't care how... And start McIntosh and let Wade Smith file for unemployment.
