Report: Broncos prepared to do “whatever it takes” to get Peyton

Vic Lombardi is a sports anchor for CBS4 Denver, as well as a radio show host. He's pretty reputable, breaks a few stories but he does cater too the home team so I'm skeptical.

Here is what no one is saying, how will Mannings neck/arm react to the altitude in denver playing in it? No one knows that let alone in a perfect climate

They haven't shown him on the broadcast yet. I'm curious to hear the crowd pop he'll get when they show him on the big screen there.

They are throwing ungodly amounts of money at him. And if he does accept, then him winning a championship is not what its all about.

God bless him. His agent is leading him here. Two teams have boatloads of money to spend. Denver and KC.

I said weeks ago KC was the team I would worry about but did not know Denver had boatloads too.

If it goes down like this. I'm fine with it. Time to move on. Its going to be Tannehill in the end IMO anyways. You cant trust the media though.

They Broncos have 40-50 million of salary cap space...

We can't compete with that...

edit: Holy ****: its at $50.735 million of cap room....

Oh joy, another mediocre QB to go along with mediocre Moore.

Tannehill was just another Henne at Texas A&M...

Mannings decision isn't going to come down to money. He is at the stage in his career where he wants another ring. He'll go to the place where his best chance of getting that ring is IMO. Denver has a solid D so they shouldn't be underestimated, although I think he is just testing the waters and will still end up either with the fins or in Arizona.

Peyton is doing his due diligence in visiting all the teams he's interested in. I don't think he's looking to be the highest paid quarterback in the NFL. He wants to go where he #1 Feels he fits in and is wanted. Where he feels at home. Then #2 where he thinks he can win within a short (1-3 Year) window. Finally, who can pay him what he feels he is worth and at least something reasonable, but, I know Steven Ross will make sure that $$ isn't the reason he doesn't choose Miami, IF he indeed goes elsewhere. So what that they're prepared to do "Whatever they have to" and they "won't let him leave without signing" that doesn't mean he WILL. Manning has NEVER done anything on shoot from the hip mentality, he generally gets his ducks in a row. I see him doing the same here.
