Report: Broncos prepared to do “whatever it takes” to get Peyton

He may be going to the Nuggets game tonight supposedly. Media still staking out Dove Valley and nobody has seen him exit the building yet. Elway Fox and Xanders still there as well.

btw, what makes you guys think miami is so superbowl ready? only on this site is that a prevailing way of thinking. when was the last time you guys even had a winning season? and now you have a new coach coming in. dolphins aren't quite as attractive as some of you think.

Having lived in Miami for 10 years and worked in Manhattan for six, I can assure you that anyone hailing from New York lacks credibility to comment on what is and is not attractive.
 
I'm prepared for plan B already. And when that inevitably fails....let's just say Matt Moore will still be the starting QB. It's too predictable.

6:30 PM According to 104.3 The Fan, Archie Manning is also in Denver.
5:58 PM D-Mac says he texted Brandon Lloyd to ask if he'd come back to Denver if the Broncos sign Manning. BLloyd's response: Of course.
5:27 PM Mike Chappell: Source says Colts have terminated contracts of Brackett, Clark, Addai, Bullitt, Painter. "It's a whole new team,'' source said.
5:00 PM Scott Hastings with 104.3 The Fan says that Manning will be at tonight's Nuggets game against the Hornets. Should be a fun time: the Hornets are terrible.
4:34 PM Vic Lombardi: Seriously, I'm told the meeting could last a while. It's open-ended. The Broncos want him to leave here with a CONTRACT IN HAND. Money not the issue here. Broncos willing to play ball. I guarantee they're talking personnel and offense in that office.
3:57 PM From the DP: Rest assured, money will not be an issue, according to an NFL source. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen is prepared to do whatever it takes to land Manning...Bowlen took a redeye flight late last night from his Hawaii residence and is at his Dove Valley headquarters office awaiting Manning's arrival. The Broncos do have the financial resources and salary cap room, the source said, and are willing to do anything.
 
Lets clear this up to get people away from the ledge. The Broncos are trying to keep Peyton in Denver for a long as possible. They fly him out and have their meeting. Then they try to take him to dinner. Then they take him to a game. What is Peyton going to say? No? This is all a ploy to keep him there and try to get a contract signed. Tomorrow he will leave Denver still a FA and we move on.

I would bet my house that if he was meeting with either Arizona or the Dolphins all the "positive" reports for Denver would be on one of those teams and not Denver.

The same thing happened with Fisher. It seemed like depending on the team he was talking to they were the favorites at that time.
 
I know you guys are messing around but ESPN has on the ticker that Manning is just "visiting teams for research purposes" and that no negotiations of any kind have taken place. ( meaning contract being offered or whatever) Also, Peyton will meet with some players and coaches but will not work out for Denver. Doesn't sound like anything geting done tonight to me. Chill out and watch the Panthers game.

Yup nothing like a Denver Nuggets game to lock up the contract. He is going to the Nuggets game because they purposely made his interview long and gave him tickets to the game. Does anyone honestly think Peyton would go to a Nuggets/Hornets game unless he was going with Bronco FO people? They are trying to keep him there as long as possible by throwing every thing they can at him to keep his schedule booked.
 
Also, if Peyton signs with Denver tonight I will personally run naked through any major Mall ( in South Florida)you guys vote on.
