report: Cushing and Matthews are clean

They have no case for a lawsuit because neither player knows exactly when or where they are going to be drafted. Just because some draft "expert" or website said they are supposed to be first round draft picks, that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to be first round draft picks.

With that said, it is because of these rumors, that seems to happen almost every year, many teams do their own investigation instead or relying on news outlets for their information.
 
LOL, they will probably all get their letters in the mail tomorrow, then they will have no case again.
 
if cushing isn't a first rounder or clay isn't a first day pick, they'd have to envision the idea of a lawsuit ... i mean, they will basically lose money because of a false rumor, let that SOB pay for his actions and sue him !
 
If this was just a rumor and those kids didn't piss hot, the buttholes who reported this should have their butts kicked and lose their jobs. This crap could cost these kids millions of dollars just so they can post some rumor. Sorry journalists are as low as ambulance-chasing lawyers and politicians. SCUM!
 
So right now, sources are saying they did test hot and, they didn't test hot.

I asked a source I know, and, she said they were clean. She also said to get my *** off the computer and fix the shingles on the roof that got blown off...But that's a different story. I asked another source I know, and, he claimed without a doubt that they were "Hotter than a mother****er." He also then asked to borrow the keys to the Suburban.

See how much of an NFL insider I am?

Judicial discretion suggests otherwise. Judges and juries frequently have to subjectively determine earning power, lost earnings potential, etc. They could make a case based upon evidence of where the "experts" saw them being drafted. Then the courts and judges, juries, etc. would attempt to make them whole via cash settlemet. I'm no lawyer over here, just my best guess.

Completely true. Once the draft is done it would be completely resonable to take most expert's opinions on where one or the other would be drafted, and, make a range. Then, take the contracts on either side of that range, and figgure out damages. This would be a civil suit which only needs show a preponderence of evidence, rather than beyond a reasonable doubt.

Sounds like we have the same or a very similar source. My source tells me to shut off the TV as well as the computer and rake the leaves that fell off the trees last fall.
 
NFL banned things sometimes goes against logics because it isn't a secret that almost every guy in the league used some supplement formula to increase his muscular mass.
Such formulas are prohibited by the league but used on college so this positive test will serve them as warning and nobody is being too scared about it, because it's not only being positive but how positive it was, so levels of the test will be the real deal about it and the players know the real size of the infraction.

The problem that I see trying to build a case on where the "experts" saw them being drafted is that none of the "experts" actually work for the NFL or any of the individual entities therein. Just because one or more of the "experts" say a certain individual is projected, that's the key word here, to be drafted at a certain time, that does not mean the individual teams view them the same way.

Unless these individual players can prove that every team that passed on them, based on where they were projected to be drafted, did so because of the steroid rumors they really don't have a case. Besides, players fall and rise every years for a variety of reasons. Cushing and Matthews may "fall" the same way Dan Marino and Warren Sapp did in their respective drafts and they only blamed the teams that didn't draft them for not doing their due dilegence on the matter.

When all is said and done, the only experts that matters are the talent evaluators that work their respective teams. Not Mel Kiper, Todd McShay or anyone else that does not work for any NFL team.
 
I agree that they didn't test positive for roids at the combine, but I'd bet money on Cushing doing roids in the past. You can see it in his build, nobody taught him how to cycle steroids properly, leaving obvious physical symptoms of steriod use that can be clearly seen in his development.
