Laremy Tunsil lost millions of dollars and became the subject of national ridicule, but at least he won’t be subject to more extensive drug testing.
According to James Walker and Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com, Tunsil’s gas mask bong video which torpedoed his draft stock won’t immediately put him in Stage 1 of the substance abuse program, allowing him to enter the league with a clean slate.
The league will still monitor Tunsil closely, but he’s been clean lately (there were no positive drug tests at the Scouting Combine), so there’s not an immediate concern other than the two-year-old video which was released to the world shortly before the draft started Thursday night.
