Sounds like all the traveling wore him out, maybe the media attention.

Wow... a phone call? I used to think so highly of you Mr. Manning... The best you can give your second-hometown is a phone call? I hope this isn't true.
 
On the phone? When they are in the same city? It's like they are humoring Miami. Philbin made a very impressive binder with a presentation for Miami when interviewed for the head coaching position. The Miami brass was impressed by it. My hunch is that Philbie was doing something very similar for 18. It's disappointing that we don't get the chance to make the presentation.

That said, it looks like 18 is weaning himself off from the Dolphins. There is nothing worse than not being wanted by someone and not facing reality. Miami should man up and not look desperate. Don't go begging, its unbecoming.
 
I think we're getting a phone call because he said he would meet with us.
 
Seems weird that he wouldn't even meet at the facility to view whatever presentation they had....in the Fisher situation we were the favorites up until the news came out that he was signing with the Rams.....maybe this will play out good for us, and he signs in Miami, however I don't think it'll pan out that way
 
thats a pretty bad sign that he is only 40 minutes from our team facility and he can even come to meet with us, lets just move on this is a joke.

Irresponsible reporting by Berardino and shameless really. Was it not reported earlier that the media spooked Manning? Why not blame himself for Manning staying away?

If all we're getting is a courtesy call from Manning then we're not in it. I'm ready to move on but most of you are not, evident by bashing every negative report against us out there concerning Manning and hanging on to the very few that have a sliver of good news. Peyton Manning is not in our future and the front office needs to wake up and move forward with plan B....if they have a plan B.
