Report: NFL to add 7th team to playoffs in 2014

With these same clowns running the show.We would still collapse no matter how many teams they add.
 
why are people actually upset that they might add another team? If we were that 7th team I bet no one would complain.

Who cares if they sell out all that matters is tv viewers and both game saturday had huge numbers.
 
I like it. #2 seed don't deserve a rest. They should play a game
 
I don't like it but it seemed inevitable. The NFL has had 4 playoff games on the first weekend and second weekend for many years now. You know damn well that Goodell was antsy to expand the number of games on that first weekend. This is a 50% bump, with one extra game in each conference. Now they can play a tripleheader on Saturday and Sunday, with the networks happy.

It probably means the league is looking to expand beyond 32 teams. The 7 playoffs teams won't be as bad when you are starting with 34 or 36. Then they'll justify a move to 8 playoff teams per conference.

I had to laugh when WVDolphan predictably fixated on quarterbacks and tried to pretend running doesn't mater. Que to last season, when he confidently predicted every game, insisting the premier quarterbacks couldn't be stopped. Then once Manning and Brady and Rodgers and Ryan all went down in flames, he whined incessantly and claimed he wouldn't watch a Super Bowl between San Francisco and Baltimore.

As always, rushing yards don't matter. Rushing attempts do matter. San Diego turned its season around due to renewed emphasis on running the football. They are averaging just slightly less than 40 rushes per game during the 5 game winning streak. We need that type of thing even more than they do, with a quarterback the shaky caliber of Ryan Tannehill.
 
2 games a day for the playoffs is already too much for me for some reason. I watch the first game then kind of zone out for the second game while browsing finheaven to see what moves we might have made or debate which playoff Qb is as good as ours. Its strange because I watch up to 8 games a week during the season but for whatever reason I find wildcard weekend to be pretty boring. Must be all footballed out.
 
Hate it. They should actually reduce the number of teams. It is clear each year that there are not 6 quality teams in either division...

some day in the future when you make the postseason again I will tip my cap, I was ready this year until we knocked you out. do you see how it's not easy? and not easy to win in postseason, this is why I defend Mark $anchez.

It isn't easy for bums like the Dolphins. Green Bay, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Seattle always seem to be in the postseason. Denver, Indy, New England and usually Baltimore do too.
