Report: NFLPA will Decertify before Thursday Night

And then when the heat win the finals the NBA will be in a lockout. Then were watching Nascar.
Anything but Nascar! I would rather watch Baseball than Nascar.... It doesn't take a genius to turn left for 500 miles.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand why a strike would be an option? I mean here are owners and players who want more money about to go on strike and get NO MONEY. Just doesn't make logical sense to me.

As if this off-season isn't bad enough already!!!

Thats the problem, 32 NFL owners DO get money if there is a lockout. The network contracts for the 2011 season have all been paid UP FRONT to the 32 NFL owners already, Play or no play, each owner receives about 30 million dollars for the season. It does have to be paid back for any games not played but big deal, its in their pockets already. Add to that, owners did not contribute anything into the players 401 K plans this past 2010 season. Thats an additional 900 million dollars the owners kept in their pockets. Thats an additional sum of around 28 million of spare pocket change.

Add to that a lot of NFL owners, Ross included, got HUGE loans already OK'd by major lending institutions if needed for the 2011 season. In our case Mr. Ross has a 250 million dollar loan already approved at his disposal if needed. Kinda like " get by " money all labeled under stadium upgrades which is complete BS.

Owners claim they are losing money. I dare anyone on this board, the media, the local or national press to find me any billionaire in this country or any other country that continues to hold onto an investment that loses money. Name one billionaire that does that. You will not find any. Sincee 2006 only 2 teams have changed ownnershp, the Dolphins and the Rams. In the Rams case it was only because Georgia Frontiere died and her son and daughter could not afford the estimated 250 million owed in estate/inherritance taxes. In event, it really did not change ownership as Stan Kroenke, who was 40% partner anyway, bought out another 45% from the heirs , who which still own 15% of the team.

Now considering that, its only 1 team in the last 5 years that has changed hands, the Dolphins. If things were so bad owning an NFL team I would imagine there would be a hell of a lot more sales then that because there is a long line of billionaires who would LOVE to buy an NFL team, loooooooong line.

omg, what do we do no football, i am going to go insane
