Despite the recent media attention over human growth hormone, don't expect the NBA to start testing for it any time soon.

NBA players union executive director Billy Hunter told Bloomberg News that he would not agree to blood tests that would show the use of HGH.

"My guys are tested enough," Hunter told Bloomberg News. "All these problems seem to be initiated from what's happening in baseball."

Last week, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Jason Grimsley told federal investigators he used illegal performance-enhancing drugs. Thirteen agents searched Grimsley's house in Scottsdale, Ariz., for six hours, searching for "any and all records showing contact or relationship with any and all amateur or professional athletes, athletic coaches or athletic trainers" regarding illicit drug use and purchases.

Damn baseball :( You have to be a great athlete to play basketball, not a musclehead like you do to be a slugger in baseball.

your the one that asked the question, not me

Baseball players don't wanna have blood tests either. Regardless I think their are more football players using HGH than any other sport.

the reason players (in any sport) don't want blood testing is because you can detect more than just HGH from them.

Bottom line, within 5 years Congress will finally get this all straight and set up strict drug testing for all major sports across the board. And it will be out of hte unions hand. It will take a while.......but they are going to get it done.

I think it is a joke that congress did get involved. Baseball waited too long to start testing and because of that they are the most scrutinized. The day Bud Selig steps down as commissioner will be a great day for the game of baseball. I'm not laying the whole 'roids thing on him but he I think he is by far the worst commissioner of the 3 major sports.
